Got to think that’s a bad idea. Georgia did that a few years ago, and it just pissed off Saban. Not saying that it won’t happen, but it’s like kicking a hornets nest.

I can see it. I wouldn't be shocked if the LSU commits/recruits have banned together to have a little fun. No big deal, it is part of recruiting. If that is true I hope the staff has a beat on it so they aren't wasting to much time.

On a side note ToD, how you feeling about the Niners. I wasn't sold until they blew out Carolina. Now I'm really entertaining they are the best team in the NFC.

I think the defense will keep us in games but eventually we will play someone who makes us pass and Jimmy G doesn't look great imo. Surprised by how good Bosa is.

I have the same concerns about JimmyG, he isn't as good as initially advertised, but I'm starting to have faith in Shanahan. I think with the run game and his ability to scheme guys open they have enough to beat anybody. Especially if most of the injured guys can get healthy, the Niners become really dangerous.

Not worried about the Saints cause if the Niners play them in the playoffs they get the refs as the 13th man. Sorry Saint had to do it.

That will be a fun game. I miss the stupid old days when the Saints, Falcons, and Panthers were in the NFC West. I could go see the Niners in the Georgia Dome every year.

It is the last game of a run for the Niners that goes Packers, Ravens, Saints. After that we will know if they are legit.

I understand but I’m sure the same people who said trust the coaches said that about Derek Kief, Oj Smith, Johnny Dwight, Keaton Anderson, jamar king, Aaron Robinson, hunter brannon, Kyriq McDonald, tevita Musika, Michael Parker, Jaylen moody, etc.

What do all these guys have in common? They were some of our lowest rated recruits that many on this board and other boards said we should trust Sabans eye for talent...

Well yeah the bust rate on 3 stars is going to be higher but you also gotta consider Josh Jacobs, Irv Smith, Slade Bolden, Eddie Jackson, Bradley Bozeman, Vinnie Sunseri, Chance Warmack, etc...If CNS takes a few lower rated guys each cycle and even hits on 50% of them I'll take it. Plenty of 5 star guys we've taken have busted as well.

Well Bratton is a 4 star but I just don’t see explosiveness , or angry tackling in the films I have seen

Over half that list were end of the class fillers, they were depth because they needed it. King or Musika were never expected to be anything but DL depth, but they HAD to take it at the time. Parker and Moody were taken in similar circumstances, they needed guys at the position.

Johnny Dwight was a hot name in his recruitment, and was a 4* on some sites.

Aaron Robinson didn't make it at Bama, but he's done VERY well at UCF.

I respect he has a fully charged phone but I still don't trust him to flip.

Take Two: Bama, UGA after Georgia Tech RB commit

quote:

THE STORYLINE

One of the hottest names in the Southeast the last few months has been three-star all-purpose back Jahmyr Gibbs, even though he’s already committed.

The Dalton, Ga., standout has been putting up incredible numbers in his senior season and while he remains committed to Georgia Tech, the Holy Trinity of the SEC – Alabama, LSU and Georgia – are showing a lot of serious interest. All three programs, meanwhile, are still navigating the uncertain situation with five-star RB Zachary Evans.

Gibbs is in high demand and it’s no surprise since he’s carried the ball 173 times for 1,964 yards and 33 touchdowns so far this season. As a junior, he had 20 TDs.

Can Georgia Tech keep Gibbs’ commitment?

FIRST TAKE: Chad Simmons, Southeast analyst

“If I had to bet, I would say he’s not going to end up at Georgia Tech. Something I’ve posted on multiple team sites is he is a homebody. He’s very close to his family and with Georgia Tech being in Atlanta that definitely helps to keep him home.

“Right now, Alabama is very much in play, LSU is in there and numerous other schools are probably going to get visits before now and if he signs in December. He could wait this out. Georgia is his dream school. That offer could change things very quickly. Georgia is still in the evaluation process, still waiting for Evans, but right now I do think it will be tough for Georgia Tech to hang onto him. Alabama probably has the most momentum.”

SECOND TAKE: Mike Farrell, National recruiting director

“There are guys who have gone to programs that aren’t as blueblood as some others and they’ve had tremendous success. Georgia Tech over the years has produced some very good running backs. There is a chance he sticks there. I don’t think it’s cut-and-dry that he’s going to leave.

“Georgia should cut bait with Evans and if it really likes Gibbs then target him, give him the dream offer and get him on board. That way you have Kendall Milton and him competing with each other and you do a good job keeping an in-state kid. If the Bulldogs don’t do that, it’s hard to beat Alabama. Right now, if I had to guess where he goes, it would be Alabama.”

I have heard it’s the opposite.. they are trying to flip Bryce Young.. Gilbert, and the WR commits of L8U. They are calling, texting, and posting on social media trying to flip him.

This isn’t from BOL or our insiders that picked Gilbert to Bama.. this is from highschool kids talking.

The resident LSURb "insider" says they aren't going after any other QBs FWIW.
