Jahmyr gibbs highlights or running style reminds me of Dalvin Cook (FSU) coming out of high school.
But just not as fast .
Yet has the same all around ability,as a pass catcher and vision.
He turns his shoulders like cook does something you dont see in most backs creating angles,
making hit hard them combined with power as well.
Its going to interesting to see if this moves Evans to commit as I like the staff bringing another RB on Evans on his visit..
Maybe we are selling there one spot left at RB and first man commits gets it.

There's one more Sanders that needs to be edited to Evans.

I do not want Evans!!! Do Not.

I'd much rather take that Gibbs kid. Give him an offer and let's roll.

I have concerns about Evans too. But, I also try not to let myself worry about anything I can't control or influence. Besides, Saban makes the call and he's got much more info and a lot of experience. So, I've decided to trust and support his decision either way and pray it works out for the best -- for the team and Evans.

Evans doesn't seem to love football all that much. He doesn't watch it, got him self suspended and no shows visits.

That doesn't mean he won't have an exceptional football career but definitely means he is a higher risk recruit in regards to sticking around. He reminds some of Alvin Kamara and Rickey Williams from what I've read.

He seems like a guy who ends up close to home at the end and goes to TAMU but who knows.

Another Josh Jacobs? Georgia HS running back getting late attention from Alabama (al.com)
quote:

The last time a running back burst onto the recruiting scene midway through his senior season, Josh Jacobs went on to lead Alabama to a national title before becoming a first-round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. There’s no way to know if Dalton (Ga.)’s Jahmyr Gibbs will be as successful on the college level as Jacobs, but the north Georgia sensation is causing a stir on the recruiting trail.

Through seven games, Gibbs has rushed for 1,860 yards and 33 touchdowns, leading all Georgia players in both categories. He is averaging 12.4 yards on his 150 carries. His 266 yards and 4.7 touchdowns per game include five scores and 170 yards on only 19 carries last week against South Cobb.

Watch Gibbs’ senior season highlights

According to the 247Sports composite rankings, Gibbs is ranked the 292nd best player in the country and 29th-best in Georgia. But those assessments are quickly being challenged by the top programs in the country.

The 5-foot-11, 195-pound speedster has been committed to Georgia Tech since May, but he recently picked up an offer from Ohio State. He is scheduled to be visited by coaches from Alabama this week and will be at the Tide’s game against Tennessee this weekend.

Gibbs said he is enjoying his recruitment. “I’m committed to Tech, but I’m taking visits right now,” said Jahmyr (pronounced Juh-Meer). “I’m going to Bama this week, then LSU, Ohio State and Florida.”

Gibbs said a strong push from Alabama could be a game-changer for him. It certainly was for Jacobs, whose best offer was from hometown Tulsa before Alabama offered while he was about to sign his scholarship papers.

“I’m very excited to be hearing from Bama,” Gibbs said. “If they come after me hard, I’d say there’s a strong chance of them being who I choose.” Alabama currently has two running backs among its 23 commitments – Hueytown 4-star Roydell Williams and Kyle Edwards, a 3-star from Destrahan (La.).

Although his recruitment is increasing because of a strong senior season, it’s not like Gibbs was a late bloomer. “Jahmyr was a 152-pound sophomore when we played Harrison and Justin Fields on ESPN,” said Dalton coach Matt Land, who played for Auburn and coach Pat Dye. “We ran nothing but inside zone and inside power that night, and he gained 223 yards. I got 35 text messages before 10 o’clock the next morning asking about him.”

Gibbs has been so explosive as a senior that some people who have watched his highlights have wondered if the tape was sped up. Land laughs at that theory, but he’s not shy about praising his star senior. “There are three things about his game that make him special,” said Land. “He’s got great patience when he runs the ball. His vision is second-to-none that I’ve seen in 28 years of coaching. And his acceleration and deceleration are nothing less than remarkable.”

Dalton is located in northwest Georgia and is known as the carpet capital of the world. The most famous people from the city are “Inside Edition” host Deborah Norville and former Tennessee offensive lineman Bill Mayo, who has returned to Dalton High as an assistant coach. Gibbs has the talent to elevate his name onto that list. “He hasn’t caught anyone here by surprise,” Land said. “He’s fulfilling what we thought all along he could do.”

Note: Bama staff is going to see Gibbs play before his visit for the UA vs UT game.

Scared of Bryce Young.

When they meet on the field in a couple weeks he's going to run and hide again.
