The word after all the misses last year was how loaded this year’s class was loaded with good Olinemen, and they’d make up for the previous years.
This OL class may or may not be loaded but pretty sure nobody reputable has said Auburn was going to load up on the OL class this year in terms of getting the big dogs in the class given Grimes at the time was the leading recruiter for the OL.

Not sure if this is the appropriate place to post this, move if needed........fort payne’s sophomore kicker made a 57 yard FG Friday night in Albertville. His brother is at Florida now. Thought the recruiting guys might want a heads up.

I agree. Next year’s DL class could be legendary.

Is this satire? It seems every year that "next years dline class is going to be much deeper"

Probably has something to do with your ability to read critically.

KN went to Phillip Webb’s game this past weekend. Webb says auburn is recruiting him at Buck. It also looks like most schools now view him in a pass rush role.

Nothing else new there. Auburn being close to home probably gives us an edge over LSU and Oklahoma. Still looks like Bama is the major competition

No timeline to commit

Kobe Hudson stats through 2 games:

Passing: 23 of 34, 551 yards, 8 touchdowns, 3 interceptions.

Rushing: 21 carries, 297 yards, 4 touchdowns.

Pinch me if I’m wrong, but he will be Auburn’s savior.

This WR class can’t get here soon enough

Hopefully it doesn’t include any more GT WR scrubs.

Hastings and Canella will be gone. Stove could go.

Leaves us with Hill, Williams, McClain, Sheffield, Schwartz, Johnson, Jackson, and Farrar.

There’s some experience there so hopefully no transfers

He’ll have his degree and his injury history could dictate when he takes his shot at the NFL

especially if Stove has a productive year. He looks like is becoming a more polished WR, where before his strength and only usage was on sweeps.

I still think they need to work in Hill and give Sal more chances and plays. Sal seems to be so much better pass catching and Hill has sure hands too.

But it's up to Gus to run those plays to make it work.

I see McClain as a guy w the size but somehow never finds a way to get open.

Did it seem to you guys that Nix seemed to look for Hastings or Stove only on his pass plays? After Hasting got dinged, and Williams went out...Nix seemed lost as to who to throw to...or again is the play calling...?

Back to recruiting, and to piggyback on Jonses’ post:

Kobe Hudson is more solid than ever and basically shutting down his recruitment.

He believes the connection between Nix and his receivers will come. Thinks Bo is just feeling his way around as a TF.

That & most of the rest of the WRs have trouble getting open, as you mentioned with McClain. I've come to the conclusion I don't think Gus can win a championship again as a HC without having a passing game coordinator to lift up that part of the offense.

Yep. I don't think the inability to get open is on the receivers all that much either. Our route combinations are just awful. Hastings gets open because he is actually able to run a couple different routes, and usually gets lined up on a mismatch.

The rest of the receivers run about 3 total routes. Pretty easy for DB's to cover as they mostly always have a deep safety taking away to shot plays. Way too many of our passing plays involve dummy routes that have no purpose but to try and draw the defense away from the only real target on the play.

There’s other places to talk about Gus’s championship odds, routes, etc

Just a random thought, any chance Wanya Morris would want to transfer from that sinking ship at UT and come to AU?
