Yeah... You gotta have guys who can work counts and get on base against good pitchers, but definitely college baseball tends to reward strong pitching and defensive play.

I knew he got a few innings in game 1 Saturday but I thought the plan all along was for him to start Tuesday. Just a bit surprised...he's obviously going to be in the weekend rotation at some point but before that he's gotta get some weekday starts so my eyebrow raised a bit seeing he wasn't the guy for Tuesday

My guess is we platoon the midweek arms like we did last year. Need about 4-5 starter options for postseason so Elliott would be an obvious choice for one of those spots given his experience (Webb and C.J. Smith would also be options). Willing to bet Elliott pitches 2-3 innings and we rotate Wilcox and others in on a similar basis. Clemson and Tech games probably get handled different but this early on the road against a team like KSU probably sees us try to get some work for as many guys as we can

Game about to start, Dantzler just said Tucker Bradley may be out for season. Going to try to come back for second half of the season but really hurt his shoulder last Saturday

Depends on how well Rogers or Jernigan can fill in. So far they’ve both looked solid. Feel bad for bradley though. He’s a really solid player with a lot of emotion. Spent most of late last season hurt with a hamstring that c crippled his speed

Talley just missed a grand slam to right center. Great swing on the ball but no carry in Foley today with all the rain and mist. In May that thing easily clears the wall
