Will the upgrades to Coleman be enough?

Or will our basketball program be a bubble team for the forseable future. The rest of the SEC is making improvements in the sport and we seem to be stuck in the mud still.

Who the coach is will be far more important.
A lot of y'all are being histrionic about this too. None of the moves any of the SEC teams are making are setting them for for a dynasty or something.
UT is the only SEC program that I think is set up for significantly more success long term than they've had historically.
LSU and UGA have terrible basketball fanbases, Ole Miss and State don't have the resources to sustain success in either of the major sports, Auburn will fade back into obscurity once Bruce is gone.

I highly doubt we will ever be a power house.i think making the tournament consistently is probably our ceiling. Hopefully in doing that we put together some good runs like Gottfried had.

Alabama is a football school. Always has been always will be. Other sports are a distant second whether we like it or not.

When is the last time you went to a game at Coleman?

Alabama bball can only go as far as what exists w/n the state (talent, lower level coaching, etc.). There should be a concerted effort to fix that.

It is an outdated dump and we have pumped how many millions into ‘upgrades’ over the years that could have been put towards a new state of the art arena?

It’s the culture/environment not the facilities... who fkn cares about Auburn’s new arena? Have you ever been to Cameron indoor??? It’s basketball, winning takes care of everything, not facilities.

Gymnastics team has no problem winning there.

Facilities are a big part of selling a program to top recruits. If you sink money into your program, you're more likely to see positive results.

Dear OP, stadiums don’t win games.

Ol’Colony is v average and we have 3 national championships and top ranked men’s and women’s teams every year. The facility is not brining that talent in....

If the facility's don't matter, why do teams sink so much money into theirs? Look around the country. If they didn't matter then I'm sure the Universities would rather spend that money elsewhere. This isn't the old days.
