Then it sounds like a great hire. He'll be able to work wonders with all that talent...

You better not be fricking around with me

Hired today, then after one day of dealing with Saban's napoleon complex, he'll start sending out job applications tomorrow.

He hasn’t been hired. At least not yet. Washington may actually pay SEC money to keep him. The OP jumped the gun.

Hell yeah with Lake and Flood coming in Bama's going
to be waterboarding the SEC.

Well he can follow the Bama instructions

Would be a great hire, if true.

poster on the Bama page
quote..Cecil Hurt just responded to a previously posted tweet which read "The question is whether Nick is done with promoting in-house" ... He responded at 3:42 "Hiring Jimmy Lake would suggest "yes".... ((He has since deleted that tweet))
so no hire at this point and JMO Nick will not pay 1.7 million for the guy.

First, let’s separate fact from fiction:
Lake did not interview for the Alabama job. He had considered the interview, but then reconsidered and didn’t go on that trip. He turned down the position with Alabama last year as well.
Lake was offered a position at Colorado as well, he also turned this down (this was last month).
We learned that Lake was offered a substantial raise — he makes 1.1 million right now and we’ve heard that new number is somewhere in the 1.4 to 1.7 range.
Lake is hitting the ground running with recruiting now; he will be in Texas tomorrow (Thursday) and was in California today. But he did not go to Tuscaloosa to interview for the Alabama job.

Sal isn't going to be the DC at Bama.

Perhaps not as DC.

I agree. Good hire regardless.

Lake has not been hired yet but her article was horse crap he did in fact interview. Unless saban has someone he would view as up to the job I wouldn’t think money would be a problem if Saban wants him. He may chose to stay at Washington but I don’t think it will be because Bama gets outbid.
