BREAKING: LSU football players released w/o charges

Players were Clyde Edwards-Helaire and Jared Small. High school teammates. Small is a walk-on.
Man that was killed pointed a bb gun at Helaire, and he mistook it for a more serious weapon and shot.
ETA: He reasonably shot him, and I think he did the right thing. I said "mistook," because I'm sure if he knew it was a bb gun he would have never shot.

Hope they aren't too mentally messed up by it. Glad to hear they quickly were able to figure out the kids were innocent.

He had a gun pointed at him that looked real and he feared for his life. Clyde did nothing wrong out of self defense. Hopefully this will give second thoughts to other people who plan on robbing somebody. This is not a game and thank God for the second amendment.

I know he killed someone stupid enough to point a fake gun. But I can see how this might fuq with his head. I'm sure its not easy to take a life and move on like nothing happened. I hope LSU athletics gets him some therapy.
