Dont make the mistake that a BB gun can’t kill you because it can.

Good job by the LSU players. Can’t imagine how intense that situation was.

If he pointed a BB gun at somebody, he obviously wanted it to be mistaken for a more serious weapon. He was successful. I hate it for him, but when you act like a thug quite often people think you are a thug and react to you as if you are a thug.

Assuming the players are telling the truth, and I have no indication that they aren't, I would have reacted the same way in the same situation.

Robbing a football player is dumb anyway. They train their bodies and minds to make snap decisions and to react in high pressure situations every day. This is the same thing.

Remember LSU basketball player Wade Simms got shot and killed in this same area of town right before the season started. And he was just in a fist fight. I dont blame them for fearing for their lives

ALL THE MORE REASON to not go into that part of town. It’s not like North BR isn’t a known shithole, and these kids of all people should know that.

It’s too bad we don’t have some old, rich white dudes to practically adopt these kids and buy them everything like the REC.

I can't stand a thief. Good news is that he wouldn't do it again.

The punk thief got what he deserved, but, seriously, what was Edwards-Helaire thinking in agreeing to meet there?
1st of all, if you think killing someone b/c they were desperate enough to try to steal $100 is what "he deserved", you are one sorry excuse for a human being. Death Penalty for petty theft smgdh.

Secondly, quite obviously E-H was there to buy or sell weed.

Thirdly, who TF thinks a BB gun is a real gun? NOBODY on Earth! NOBODY who literally is armed with a real pistol thinks a BB gun is a real pistol; it's a ludicrous thing to say. Maybe some old granny or soccermom, but a young gangsta- arse pistol totin 20 year old? pssshhtt.

So you want someone in fear of their life as this gun is being drawn on them to take the time to notice the diameter of the barell before they take action to defend themselves? OK!? LOL.

Where is the orange tip on the image I posted? And yes that is a BB gun!

“Sorry sir...can you not move that gun around so much while shoving it at me? I’m trying to analyze it closely before I decide if I should be scared or not”

Guy goes around robbing people with it, he probably drilled a larger hole and painted it black....

As for value of a human life vs $100, it’s not the money, it’s the fact that he defended himself with a single shot when having a gun pointed at him.

Just know you’re wrong and back out of here quietly

Sounds like the thief got more than he bargained for.
No, robbery isn’t a crime punishable by death, but this is a classic case of play stupid games...
I don’t blame the players. I feel sorry for them for having been forced into that situation by the stupid decisions of the deceased. Now, they have to live with the outcome and even when justifiable, the taking of a human life has to be a difficult thing to live with if you have a shred of decency about you. I hope the players take up the school’s offer for counseling. There is no good reason they should continue to suffer emotionally for what that dumbass forced them into doing.
I don’t own a gun and likely never will but I fully support anyone else who is responsible and legally qualified to make that decision for themselves.
When that dumbass pointed that BB gun at them I’m sure he intended for them to believe it was a deadly weapon and the player had every right to defend himself.
It’s a sad situation and the players should have never put themselves in that situation but the deceased has no one to blame but himself.
