Yeah, it’s wild.
Sheikha Moza, wife of Qatar Sheikh Al Thani (Qatari royalty) has led colossal education and social reform there, which has aided women.
But obviously, it’s still a different world.
FTR, my experience was that TAMUQ isn’t even in the same universe as Qatar University (two totally different schools; I conducted research at both), in terms of environments for women, with TAMUQ obviously being built upon a different set of, uh ... values.

Some women wear religiously significant modest clothing because they want to, some arent allowed to not. There is a difference, and it happens in America too.
