The administration and the fan base have different ideas on what competent means. One of the reasons why the fans are so fired up currently.

That’s why I think it’s more about the overall perspective. He closes with a good recruiting class. Has some big early commits for 2020 but He goes 5-7 but we didn’t really get blown out and the defense looks a lot better and our red zone conversion is a lot better. He will get another year.

If that’s true then why didn’t Bjork fire him and start fresh this year? He could of survived that. Doesn’t make since to tie yourself to a cement block when you’re treading water.

This. We're just delaying the inevitable. Bjork probably wants an extra year to hopefully find a new job and preempt the firing.

I honestly think if you took the top 15 best coaches in the country put them on our staff we couldn’t win 8 games next year.

I mean they would be a first-year coach so yeah. A vast majority, unless they inherit hella good talent like Matt Luke did, then they generally have pretty lackluster first years.

I can’t believe y’all are making me defend Matt I fricking hate the guy being our football coach. How can you not see what he inherited was a NCAA butt fricked program we had 5 players that will play in the NFL sure but that doesn’t fix the LB or really even the defense as a whole. That first recruiting class was not his. We had how man players transfer 10 and how many injury’s?? I agree the last one was but he wasn’t even the head coach until after the egg bowl last year. I wanna see how he finishes this class and how he’s building the 2020 class before a render complete judgement.

My biggest issue is if we fire him then yes get it over with but it doesn’t make any sense to hire all new assistants just to pay them to leave less than a year later.

That’s why I think we will hire coordinators desperate for jobs and willing to take one or two year deals.

I hope your right but what Neal and Chase have been saying is Bjork and Luke wanna win the fan base back by hiring expensive multi year coordinators.
