I’ve almost always supported the guy, but don’t tell me it’s about money if he wants to be successful here.

This is his livelihood. He’d be stupid not to listen to what someone else is offering when we are paying him a relative pauper’s wage and the fanbase has spent the better part of 3 years begging to fire him and not showing up for games.
That being said, he’ll get a raise and extension and be the coach at Mizzou for a long time. No worries!

I’ve never given you the shite here that others have about BO, but as a donor, alumni, and a fan......I cannot get on board with this tactic by his agent.

That’s what agents do. That’s their job.
Louisville is not the only program interested. That’s what happens when a coach does a good job.
He’s ridiculously underpaid, comparatively speaking. He’s earned and deserves a raise.

I have to disagree with 1 thing. He isn't ridiculously underpaid. He is a contract employee who signed the offer and extension. It is Sexton's job to get his full market value from day one. If he feels underpaid, then he only has Sexton to blame.

ALL coaches do this. He is the lowest paid coach in the SEC. He doesn't deserve to be. Raise it to $3 million per and that's that.

Yeah. I just don’t want him standing at the podium talking how much he loves Mizzou and wants to win here if he’s gonna have his agent plant stories after every year he is bowl eligible.

Well, I don't think that would work too well if he went 6-6 or 7-5 and made more than a few other guys in the SEC, but I guess we will see.

Did you know he is one of the lowest paid in the SEC? What about his staffs? They will bolt if not get a raise. I guess you do not follow college football and how the coaches are getting paid more if they are doing well and get the program to the next level. You got to be kidding me that Barry Odom and his staffs do not deserve a raise?

If it goes too high, Sterk at some point in the bidding says "Hey, I can get coach X for $4.5 per instead."
People will look at his line play and the run game on both sides and how much improvement we have made in 3 years there.
Odom's contract will rise to the market price here, or else it will somewhere else. I like Odom, but we aren't in a terrible place if there actually is a bid for Odom.
If we don't keep Odom, though, then the only thing that makes sense is to pony up to the $4m+ club for a big hire.

Serious question, because I didn't follow Mizzou football in my teenage years but did Pinkel ever pull anything like this?
