Rodrigo Blankenship was not chosen as a finalist for best kicker in the country.
He is 90% on the year, 52/52 on XP, 53 long, and 85% touchbacks.
One of Blankenships misses was a block by the way.
For comparison, Cole Tracy of LSU was chosen, who went 88% on FG, 33/33 on XP, 54 long, and doesn’t even do kickoffs
I honestly don’t understand how you justify this.

Agreed. Carlson should have won as a SO and JR but lost to seniors both times who were essentially being given career achievement awards, only for whoever votes on the award to decide not to do that anymore when Carlson was a SR last season
