While I've enjoyed watching Chase Daniel play during pre-season games, I hope we'll soon see Lock in the regular season. But may be a couple years before we do.

My question about Lock taking over a Billion dollar franchise is;

Face #1: When things are going well, it's happy, smiling and stupid dances.

Face #2: When things aren't going well there is the sad puppy face which is usually followed by a horrific turnover.

Where is the "put the team on my back" "we will win or die trying," full of fire face? Where is the "I've got the best arm in CFB, and these frickers don't stand a chance face?

IMO that is the only question about trusting Lock to be your franchise QB.

I guess I'm not as worried about what appears to be his immaturity. Another draftnik comparison I read called him "Jay Cutler arm / Eli Manning demeanor". That may be closer. Eli won two Super Bowls as a low key type.

So while I agree with your points on wishing he displayed more pissed off / team on my back leadership traits of a classic gunslinger (Farve, Rodgers, Marino, etc.), low key types like Eli and Joe Montana have won their share too.

And wow... If he becomes the consensus top QB prospect he could easily go 1st overall after all.

Please don’t compare Joe Montana to Eli.
You are correct that Joe wasn’t a super fiery, yelling in your face, jump up and down guy, but he definitely let his teammates know they were winning. Eli won 2 ships on the back of his D and a few dropped INTs by the patriots.
Montana was a gamer with a game face and never quit attitude.

Eli's not Montana (who is?), but he wasn't Trent Dilfer either. Or his brother for that matter.

He was the MVP in both Super Bowl wins, was 8-4 as a playoff QB with an 18-9 TD-to-Int total while averaging around 260+ yards a start over his last 8 career playoff games. LINK

Peyton was 14-13 as a playoff QB with 40-25 TD-to-Int total.

As a playoff winning QB soft spoken Eli >>>>> Peyton.

Swap the QB's and the teams they play for and Eli probably never wins a Super Bowl. Peyton probably doubles the number he wins.

Possibly. Peyton would get rattled with happy feet with pressure.

Eli would take the hits and stay cool and collected.

When did Eli ever have a skill group like Wayne, Harrison, Clark, and James?

You had to beat Brady to get there in the AFC but Eli has never had that kind of skill talent around him

Will Grier is the best of the bunch. I haven't watched much film on the other qbs but I've seen alot of highlights from Herbert.

If I we're to pick a landing spot for Lock, I think Denver would be good fit.

If he tanks he can go to Denver. Greatness for him is outside the AFC West

I would agree about the wide receivers being better in Indy.

I actually hope Lock is drafted outside the top 10, even better somewhere between 15th and end of 1st round. I don't want him going to a team that will rush him onto the field too early, and not to a team that will be lacking in Oline protection. That is typical of bad teams drafting highly.

With the way he takes the heat of the outside noise on his shoulders, NYC is not ideal. There are quite a few places that would be more forgiving. Denver is a good spot but some are now saying raiders for the third pick. Good luck to him wherever he goes. Hopefully he doesn’t end up with the jaguars like Gabbert did. They’re looking for a qb again.

Lock will end up in FL; either Tampa or Miami.

Tampa wouldn’t be a bad spot. Lots of weapons with OJ and Evans to throw the ball to.
