Actually it is very unlike Saban to publicly say something like that. As an LSU fan this inconsistent behavior is a good sign. Something triggered him to go off script like that.

Clearly you don’t ever listen to his Thursday night coaches show. But why would you? He routinely says off the cuff things at this event.
