There, I made the thread for you guys to save you the time. This loss 100% is on Franks (again).

Couldn't even get 100 yards of passing offense before 4 minutes into the fourth quarter. Who would you guys like to see at QB? Even with the fumble, Emory looked interesting.

I agree it is on him this time. And McWilliams for being truly awful.

I have no idea how McWilliams even has a jersey at this point. They'd be better off just putting a safety down there and playing soft zone than asking McWilliams to cover anyone.

Agreed. He was a crappy recruit and is a terrible defender

Franks was awful...but we lost the game the minute CJ Henderson got injured...enter McWilliams # 12 and I just dreaded it. LSU picked on him in the first quarter for a TD until Trey Dean was able to enter the second qt.

I can honestly say 3 TDs are attributable to # 12. He has never been decent and why Shawn Davis didn't take his spot I am not sure. Emory isn't the answer right now. He cant operate an option pitch yet. His deep pass was beautiful but was unexpected by the dawgs.

Neither QB was molested by pass rushes....I just don't get it. I do know UGA had 8 men near the line most of the game...why we didn't throw a few more deeper routes? Franks was never really pressured that much....we had the time to throw deep to back them off.

Its always a team loss and the early fumble by Scarlett hurt...and the picks and fumble by Franks hurt us...but we did manage to be in the game until late. Our defense played well at times and other times shite the bed. I just hope Henderson can play next week against Mizzou or Mc Williams will be roasted alive.

Franks has done well enough but he isn’t the answer long term: Jones is the best option for the future right now. He has to learn a lot but I’d rather him learn this year than next year. He could be special

Once Mullen thinks Jones is ready then he should start unless we are going to redshirt him this year . Franks had a bad game and was one of the biggest reasons we lost . It seem like mistake cost us all day . At this point it’s about preparing for next year so we need to get some young player a little experience for next year .

Enough is enough, man.

Yes, McWilliams is bad. But expecting both backup Cornerbacks to pick up the slack while we have a first string quarterback playing like dogshit is unacceptable.

He's a backup for a reason. Franks absolutely murdered our time of possession, and guess what that saves?

Minutes logged by backup CBs. He was crying after this game, like sobbing. When we win he's fixing his hair getting ready for the interview.

When he's at home, he's browsing Twitter to see what fans are saying about him.

Dude isn't QB material, period and I told you guys all this season it would happen -- so don't answer back all pissed off at me. We didn't throw deep routes because Franks missed a perfectly reasonable touchdown pass. We will never have that vertical threat while he is in.

Id rather not lose another game with Emory not ready, we can be 10-2 which is a helluva lot better than most ever thought in August.

Mizzou is not nearly as good as UGA and Franks needs to perform better or insert Jones...but we are redshirting him, I believe so he has four games he can play in? I thought he played in our first game against a cupcake?

Reasons we lost in order.

1. Bad game by Franks (ints, fumble, and flea flicker overthrow)
2. Best DB getting hurt.
3. Scarlett’s fumble that spotted them a 10 point lead.
4. We were just out talented (don’t think we were out coached)
5. We couldn’t create turnovers.
6. Couldn’t get enough pressure on Fromm
7. Fromm had a good day

All that is true. I actually think we regress next year because there’s no way we retain everyone on this defense. They’re too good. The front 7 i mean.

I think Mullen was willing to ride with Franks as long as there was a glimmer of hope to be in the hunt for the East. Now that its over, I say we ride with Emory and let him gain experience using the same gameplan for Franks that is we are a run heavy team and take our shots when necessary

My first thought when looking at Frank’s stat line was one thing...

if we put in jones we will probably lose 2 of our last 4. franks is unfortunatly our only option.

You can't know that for certain. You can make that argument, but you can't know for certain. A huge difference is that there is a real, tangible threat to run with Emory Jones.

Opposing teams will let Franks run it EVERY DAY. The chances of him not just fumbling, but of dancing to find the hole and running like a baby giraffe are so high that they will let him do it all the time.

You know why we got that pass interference? Because the opposing defense doesn't know what's coming. It is monumentally more difficult to gameplan a mobile Quarterback with good playcalling than it is for a pocket passer with good playcalling. It's the fourth game Franks hasn't passed for over 115 yards in three quarters this year.

There are Quarterbacks who have 115 yards in a single quarter. I like our chances a lot more with Emory (because I know he needs to be ready next year) than watching Franks go out and eat plates of shite every down.

2 wins is still 8 for the season, dbl our total from last year and we have a Mullen QB fit gaining experience

Franks is bad against decent teams. That was a game where the defense needed a little help and franks and the offense said no thanks.

Two bad turnovers and a missed easy td. Sigh.

Still a good season by all accounts giving the limitations of this team. I hope they keep on fighting to 10 wins or more.

I think this game solidified something that we all knew, namely that Franks will not be the guy to get us over the top. You can't scheme your way to victory 8 times/yr in this conference, you have to be able to execute against the best of the best.

However, nothing about this loss changes my feelings that

(1) starting Franks this season was the right decision
(2) he has mostly played well, putting us in position to win games no one thought we would
(3) it's dumb, not to mention classless, to bash a player for what you expect him to do in the future before he's actually done it, just so you can say SEE I WAS RIGHT!

I don’t think that anyone thought Franks would be the future . He is better then Trask is starting till Mullen thinks Jones is ready . It will be interesting to see if Franks transfers after the season.
