-26th in rushing yards allowed
- 57th in passing yards allowed
- 43rd in red zone defense
How confident are you guys in stopping our run/quick pass game? Especially if you’re not allowed to load the box due to an empty set.

We will beat you goons by 20. Minimum

Like your QB could get the ball to the receivers.

LSU expects our defensive staff in the stands, to rain piss balloons on State players to distract and annoy them.

We’ll key on stopping the run, play tight man, and force NF to throw, which he likely won’t be able to consistently accomplish. Your offense is not our primary concern. Your defense is.

Stats like this depend on who you play.
Arkansas State is 4th in pass yards allowed, for example.

Tell us about our defense after the game

INT 3
So completing only 49.6% of his passes at an average of under 6 yards per pass? I think they'll be fine. I know you pointed out the short pass game, but honestly there is no pass game for them to worry about until proven otherwise. If you burn them on the quick passes, then good on Fitz, but as of now it hasn't been done this year.

MSU’s passing game is complete shite.

The pass rush has not been consistent this year. Losing Chaison hurt, but we were able to get to Fromm last’s week.
Regardless of the stats, LSU’s secondary is one of the best (if not the best) in the country.
Last year NF was able to own LSU’s depleted dline. Don’t expect that this year as we have a lot more depth. Not to mention, Lawrence and Fehoko were not on the field last year.
LSU wins 21-10

I think it will be a very low scoring game. 14-10 or 10-7 type game.

You should be worried, very very worried about this D on Sat. Our first ranked opponent at night in TS. Ouch Dawg.

I don’t know. LSUs offense is getting better. The stats don’t show it, but just watching them evolve throughout the season has been pretty impressive.
If they play like they did against UF it can be ugly and low scoring. But, if the offense can keep it going from last week they can put up some points no matter who they play.
Tempo has been synonymous with LSU’s success and I think you see more hurry up this week if they can get into manageable 2nd and 3rd downs.

It’s pretty good.
Seriously, we’ve played some good teams and played mediocre against mediocre teams to make the stats “meh.” But Delpit May be the best in the country, Devin White is absurd even on a down year, and you’d better hope Fehoko doesn’t play because he is a warrior, eats double teams up, and wil one-step slip the blocker to jet into the backfield.
When the defense is focused, it’s as good as any. By a long shot.

I wish Fehoko would teach the DL the haka. How fricking cool would that be?

Burrow would lead the haka.

Well, when your team does not have possession of the football, 11 players will "defend" against opponent who has possession of the football. Thus, the name "defense."
