No. Gus will be back next year, no matter what happens the rest of this year.

My co-worker the Audie grad is convinced Gus will be gone if they get beat by Old Piss.

We have an Oreo Blizzard bet on it. I say no way Gus gets it this year.....the money is to much and who the hell are they going to get?

If Auburn goes 5-7, they will need to suck it up and fire him. If Auburn keeps Gus after this year, then it doesn't make sense to fire him next year either, because his buyout only goes down about $2 million and they would have to pay him another $7 million.

If Auburn can't afford to buy him out now, they definitely won't be able to buy him out next year, and if Gus is allowed to further wreck Auburn through the 2020 season, then the long term costs will be far more than the $32 million they will have to pay out if they fire him this year.
