What does this have to do with Alabama versus LSU?

Someone wanting a quick stepping stone. Maybe Joey Freshwater.

Someone who will do it for $2 million a year or less.

They might try to poach O. If you can’t beat him then hire him.

On the boards, the three names people keep mentioning the most are Kiffin, Clark and Brohm.
Personally, I don't want Kiffin and don't know enough about Clark or Brohm to have an educated opinion.
There are a lot of idiot fans who mention names like Cristobol and James Franklin as well as coaches who are already at other top-tier programs. I don't know why people think Cristobol or Franklin would leave. Not because Auburn isn't a good option, but Franklin is a PSU guy and outside of the pederasses, PSU is traditionally a better job. There are also fans who want Venables, but I feel like he's had his opportunity to go and hasn't -- maybe he's happy being a coordinator.
I'll be curious to see how AU proceeds: a proven head coach who is currently unemployed (Miles, Stoops), a current head coach who either is at a smaller P5 school (Brohm) or a hot up and coming coordinator (Ryan Day, Aranda).
If it's me, I make Bob Stoops say no. Then I take a shot at Aranda. Those are my top two choices followed by Mark Stoops.
I'm happy we have an AD in place who seems to know what he's doing. The last two AU coaching hires have reeked of good ol boy system. It's time Auburn takes its football hiring more seriously and looks for the best candidate.

No way he's fired this year. Auburn might be very good next year, they've been pretty bi-polar the last decade or so.

Several AU beat writers and insiders who are legit have already published articles about Gus losing his job. I'd say it's more likely he's fired than he's able to keep his job.
The buyout won't be footed entirely by the university. Plus, Gus has lost the team. There's no coming back from that.

He ain't getting fired. Not worth pondering imo.

He'll beat Ole Miss and Liberty and get to the "6 wins gets a crappy bowl" bowl and keep his job.

If he loses to OM Saturday he will be gone.
There are 3 games left that will be boat raceing exhibitions.

Someone who's willing to work for free?

Clark from UAB would be dynamite if he can recruit successfully to AU
