Statically there are only 3 backs with 500+ yards and 6 or more TDs

Snell 115-664-8
Williams 96-582-6
Phillips 78-563-6

Who would have pegged UK, A&M, & OM with the lead dogs this year?

Looks right to me. Bama's backs aren't getting enough touches to put up stats like this.

UGA and BAMA are playing 4 backs this season. If we combined their production, they would be at or near the top.

D. Harris, Swift, and Brosette are more than in this conversation.

I’d say Snell is the only one who is definitely top 3.

If only Trayveon could play more directional Louisiana opponents

vs ULM/Northwestern State : 184 YPG, 42 carries, 368 yards, 8.8 YPC
vs Clemson, Bama, Arkansas : 71 YPG, 54 carries, 214 yards, 4.0 YPC

You guys got THE University of Louisiana or Southeastern left on the schedule? Maybe Nicholls?

Looks like the same with UGA. Usually they’re the top rushing programs. Auburn is surprisingly without a talented back this year. LSU’s Brossette is close but a peg down this far this year from the top 3.

Bama should make Josh Jacobs the #1 back. Jacobs is a beast. But, Saban is very loyal to Damien Harris. Najee Harris needs to pick his game up some but he doesn't get a lot of touches.

I love Swift, but based on this year’s performance he doesn’t belong in that conversation right now.

Arkansas should be in your other grouping amongst their peers

It must be real hard running for Bama when you have Tua doing it all. Those 6 & 7 man boxes really clamp down on the poor backs behind the elite offensive lines.

D Harriss is better at pass protection, but you are right about Jacobs running angry.

Phillips was a surprise on a Saturday night. We were sloppy but he was tough to bring down.

Saban compared him to Ingram before our game against them and after watching him run in a couple different games it's a pretty good comparison.

He's a good player.

Saban is king of hyperbole right before and after he plays someone.

He's a gentleman and a scholar.

Phillips style really is similar to college Ingram though.

Snell being in the top 3 isn’t surprising at all. He will probably be there at the end of the season.

The other two? We’ll see.
