How has the team performed compared to what you expected?

So far we have the record I expected at this time . The defense looks like I expected the last 2 weeks and the offense is slowly getting better . I think most fans are happy with the play of the team . It’s nice to see improvement and see the coaching staff change the game plan to help the players perform. Before the season I thought we would go 8-4 and right now looks like we have a good chance to get 8 wins . Hopefully we can improve recruiting with FSU sucking this year .

I was expecting 4-1 so far, so, yeah, I guess. If we finish 8-4 or better I'd consider it a successful first season

We already matched our win total from last year. From here on out I just want to see a gradual team improvement that reflects that the players are being developed so next year we can make a little noise. Hopefully we can improve in the trenches and whoever the QB is will have a season of practice/gametime under his belt. Mullen can adapt to his QBs strengths but Imo this offense is hitting on all cylinders when you have a run threat at QB who can also spin the ball.

I predicted 10 - 2, but expect 9 - 3.

So far, so good. I think we will be able to move against the teams we need to and I don't think we'll lose a single game by blowout.

I predicted before the season that we would lose to MSU..so you switch UK for MSU and we are exactly where I thought we'd be.

The one thing I didn't expect is the total 100% buy in from the team and the improvement on offense even with average OL. The defense has done what I thought they'd would, but with more blitzs.

The one facet I am really impressed with is the special teams. It helps you win games and goes unnoticed.

I expected a 10+ win season so we are still on track. The Kentucky loss wasn't in my plans but they are better than expected. Our depth is worse than I thought and the O-line is still under performing but this team is so much better than last year in a lot of areas. Coaching is tremendously better and I admit that I didn't think we should have fired Mac until the death threat issue. Mullen is a breath of fresh air for this program.

Go Gators!

I think anyone not happy is bat shite. First year. New system. 4 win team. 4-1 start and the numbers show vast improvement. We are the 26th most efficient team in the country vs P5 teams this year so far. That's damn good. Our QB went from worst in the league to middle of the pack. Yes..incredibly happy with how good we've looked. We may have 2-3 more losses..but that's expected by a new coach. Or should be. Some people forget it's a challenge to change staffs.

The only thing that scares me is that Mullen might be a hot commodity if he isn't already.

Franks went from being a slow TE to looking as though he might be able to manage the game in less than a year. That's legitimate Quarterback whispering.

I think he's at Florida for the long haul, though, and the chemistry between him and the team is already deep -- the MSST locker room celebration was wild.

I think UF is Dan's destination point. Id be floored if he left for another job

Look, he stayed at MSU for 9 years waiting for the right job. He will remain at UF as long as the negagator fans don't run him off. Like Spurrier said in his book, when 11-1 ain't good enough, it's time to move on. (not an exact quote) but you get the point.

Im not afraid of Dan leaving at all, he has the right AD, facilities are going to be upgraded soon and he is in the best area to recruit. He also brought all his staff with him. No way Jose he leaves...I think he retires at UF.

That is pretty wishful thinking. He will need to out do Spurrier and Meyer to do so. There is a reason why all of our great coaches leave. UF is a pressure cooker.

Mine have been met. We look way more competent than FSU and Tennessee. My main worry is still the defense. They get blown off the ball to easily cause they are built for pass rush not run control.

Another couple years of recruiting should set us up nicely

Also our special teams has been money so far

I don't think he retires here.

I don't see him moving for a long time though. He loves the AD. He held off on job offers for a long time. You can see the joy in his eyes getting off that plane. He has a renewed life.

The coaching progression has blown me away. The players rarely seem to make the same mistakes two games in a row. I also did not expect us to show such physical toughness this early - pay Savage whatever the hell he wants.

The two things still out there I'd like to see the coaching staff prove are

1. Win the games we should. FSU, USC, Vandy should be wins.

2. Pull a legit upset due to execution and grit. LSU and UGA are the only real chances, unfortunately, so the odds of this are definitely lower.

Georgia is not as good as LSU to me. But we match up better with LSU.

Think LSU beats Georgia though. But we have a better chance vs LSU.

I agree, but I will say that Mullen is a bit different in that there isn't anything about this environment that will surprise him. His previous exposure to UF/Meyer plus 9 years in the SEC makes him as prepared as anyone could possibly be to handle the stress.

Going to beat LSU as a signature win. We will jump in the polls and then play Vandy & UGA...I actually think we have a great chance to win out....but I wear O&B glasses.

The girls school is putrid, Mizzou and USC are not that good. UGA will go down and LSU in the Swamp? Had this as a W long time ago.

Florida as the away team in the beginning of the third quarter:

33 - 6 vs. Tennessee.

Georgia as the home team in the beginning of the fourth quarter:

24 - 6.

Could have been worse, too, if Tennessee had converted some crucial turnovers.

shite starts to get funky if we beat LSU and Vandy.

You got a top 10 matchup in Jacksonville between 6-1 UF and 6-1/7-0 UGA, likely for a chance to get to Atlanta (if Kentucky loses a game, which I still expect)
