Just saw Herb on field at Michigan / Northwestern pregame and reflected on Herb’s time here. I mean, people clearly believe in him since he’s now head of S&C for Michigan.

I was also excited about him when he came to Arkansas and he seems to have the ability to transform athletes. So was it Bielema’s fault for asking for a shitty product Poorly suited to the SEC or is he just overrated by the Michigan homer crew?

I think he'll probably do wonders for a team like Michigan, where big bodies aren't exactly the norm throughout the conference.

Here he just beefed us up, but the conference is filled with beefed up giants that are actually maneuverable AND speedy.

I fully expect Michigan to be a dumpster fire from a speed and endurance standpoint in less than 2 years.

Harbaugh is too tough of a coach for them to turn into a physically and mentally soft team like we did under Bert, but teams will be running by and around Michigan in P5 OOC games and bowls.

Bert and Herb were both fricking idiots. It took both of them 4 years (!) and countless blowouts and blown leads to come to the realization that speed matters in the SEC. Bert even admitted that before the 2017 season, when Herb basically had to overhaul his S&C philosophy because it wasn't working.

We had unequivocally the worst S&C program in the conference under Herbert.
