... after the fact as a big thank you to the losing institution.

I thought this was a cool story:
LSU fans and boosters making donations to Assumption College (where Cole Tracy transferred from)
quote:

gifts in the name of LSU PK Cole Tracy keep rolling in to Assumption College, where Tracy played before making the jump to the SEC. The note that’s often attached with the donations is, “Thank you for sending us Cole Tracy.”
This all comes on the heels of Tracy’s 42-yard game-winning field goal which gave the No. 12 Tigers the upset win over No. 7 Auburn on Saturday.

CFB live mentioned it tonight said it is up to about 6k in donations.

I think its awesome! Passion and gratitude that makes CFB what it is.

If Bama could ever get a transfer PK worth a schit, I'd like to think that school would get the same from grateful fans. At this point, it would likely be enough in donations to hire CNS away.

Although, I can't imagine the outcry from certain fanbases and posters about "buying" players. I'm sure there would be a Saban rule on it before next season.

Kudos to LSU fans paying it forward to help the little school... or maybe its paying it back in this instance.

It mentions that in the article, about 500 bucks had been donated prior to the game.

Good storyline nonetheless.

Desmond Howard on CFB Live: "Hey that's great. You can give money to everybody and anybody (in CFB) except the athlete."

What happens if this kid misses a game winning FG?

Will there still be love?

Marco I know you always post like a bitchy little fagg but LSU has suffered below par special teams for several years up to this point so I think the outpouring of gratitude is warranted

I can promise you that Bama doesn’t want to go down this rabbit hole.

Dee Hart, Haha Clinton-Dix, Cyrus Kouandjio and Tua all come to mind.

Just wait til Cole scores on a trick play against Bama. They'll build a new stadium at Assumption with the cash we'll send

Ahhh....the old Alabama/no teeth joke again—-clever.

Also, I was born and reared and still reside in “the big city” 80 miles downriver from LSU—so my teeth are pretty.

Senior year in high school...25% of my graduating class was going to BR...I wanted to get away and not be so close to home—-Bama was the choice for undergrad.
