How is John Chavis working out at Arkansas? Haven’t followed them this year

Held the mighty Mean Green to 44 points. Makes no difference when your O can score 50 a game.

I would say this is a thunderously stupid post... but it is not bad by your standards. We grade on a bell curve.
Actually the defense did not play that bad. But we gave up 44 points!
We threw 6 INTs including one pick 6. And the complete screw up on the punt return. The defense played fairly well but they were put behind the 8 ball.
It is a mediocre defense, which means its a great improvement from our last few years. Sadly its matched with a horrendous offense and even worse special teams. We are a bad team.
But blaming it on the defense because you dislike Chavis is a special kind of stupid.

Spot on. There ain't D coordinator on the planet who could make those guys into anything resembling a D1 defense.

For the third time today...
North Texas went 3-16 on third down, averaged 3 yards per rush and 6 yards per pass. Arkansas gave up a punt return for TD, threw a pick 6, and threw five other interceptions.

Actually not bad. The offense however is a serious contender for being the worst in FBS. We are probably looking at a three game stretch where a TD will not be scored and the other team's defense will outscore our offense.

Not much he can do when North Texas has 20 drives in the game, and 11 of them started at Midfield, or in Arkansas territory. Not to mention we threw 6 interceptions.
