Wow, what a novel OP. Never been done here before.

Weird how people leave him off this list. He is #3 on the CFB career rushing board. He averaged more than 6 ypc over 4 years. He scored more than 25 touchdowns in each of his final two seasons. He has not one, but TWO seasons in which he rushed for more yards than Herschel Walker's best season.
On top of that -- he passes the "eye test" every bit as much as Herschel or Bo. The only difference is that he played on some shitty Texas teams while Herschel and Bo played on good teams.

Best NFL running back ever too, IMO.

Let’s just go ahead and end this debate.

It was without question Herschel Walker, followed closely by Bo Jackson. Barry Sanders is third on the list.
Can't forget Jim Brown and OJ, remember Jim Brown only played 8 games a season up at Syracuse and once scored 43 points in a single game dude was a FREAK

Barry had the best season, but Herschel had the best collegiate career. If Barry had done it for 3 years and carried OSU to a national championship then I would give him the nod. I never saw Jim Brown or O.J., but they should probably be in the conversation too.

Barry was great on his only season as a starter.
Walker and Marcus Allen were the most dominate over multiple years in my opinion.
You can make a case for Faulk and Bo Jackson also.
Picking greatest ever is hard to tell unless you have been watching since the 70's.

Bo and Herschel are among the greatest athletes to play college football, Sanders is hands down the greatest RB to have played the game. He dominated on every level, and with longevity.

Im good with Barry......but it sure as shite ain't Herschel
Herschel has to settle for being the best SEC RB ever. Not a bad consolation prize

I think people took this more seriously than you intended, but I got a good kick out of it.

Sanders played in the No Defense Conference.

Not even the best RB to wear the color orange.

Herschel probably had the best overall career, but Sanders 1988 season is one of the greatest individual accomplishments in college football history.
