Just curious. I drove by the other day while in Nashville and the stadium was open to the public so I walked around and checked it out.

Decent stadium but obviously not even close to the nicest or largest in the SEC.

exactly like you'd expect. Half filled with the other team's fans, not very loud at all, not a lot to cheer about, not a bad seat in the place.

Home games are pretty much like what you experienced.

My family had season tickets when I was a kid just because they were so cheap. We'd go and watch UT, UF, whatever other team Vandy was playing. It was fun, very relaxed and almost like a high school game atmosphere. We'd walk down onto the field after the game and get autographs as the players walkef across the field to leave. Dont know if they still do that now, i doubt it. This was Woody Wiedenhofer era.

It was pretty rowdy for the Bama game for about 7 minutes or so.

Feels like a home get for the visiting teams.

Couple of observations:
1. Nashville is a great and fun place to visit.
2. The visitor section we sat in felt like we were leaning forward the whole time when we were standing up.
3. The horn they blow after each score is loud and obnoxious.
4. It can be really cold in Nashville at night. If you get a room that faces the stadium at the Marriott, you can watch the game from your room.

When Franklin was there, it was a pretty decent atmosphere. Before and afterwards, not so much. They should never have let that guy go.

I’ve only been once and they were playing ut-Martin or Chattanooga or somebody like that and it was maybe a quarter full. Don’t know if that was because of the opponent or just vandy in general

When I went last year, the gameday atmosphere had improved a fair bit from what it used to be, but it's still pretty awful.

Vanderbilt brings a lot to the conference, but when I go there for a football game, I always find myself thinking they would fit well in the American with Tulane and SMU being sort of similar schools.

I've been there when LSU played them and I honestly think there was more LSU fans than Comedore fans. The stadium is like a good size High School stadium. Their fans that show up are passionate but realistic. They don't expect them to win much and aren't very loud, but they seem to have a good time.

The best part about the trip is the nightlife in Nashville.

Vandy is a great game to go to.Pretty sure you will win. It feels like a home game and Nashville is an awesome city, even if you don't like country music.
