Remember for this year if you say redshirt you have to qualify it by saying which games if any the player plays in.

My take:

James Foster - Redshirt, but plays in the Northwestern State and UL-Monroe games.

Jashuan Corbin - Play. He'll end up the #3 back.

Vernon Jackson - Redshirt. He needs to move to linebacker.

Deneric Prince - Redshirt, but could end up the #3 back.

Charles Strong - Redshirt, but he could conceivably get significant PT at fullback.

Caleb Chapman - Play. He'll probably be the biggest surprise at WR.

Montel Parker - Play. Either he or Preston will be returning kicks.

Jalen Preston - Play. He may end up being the starting punt returner

Jace Sternberger - Start. This one is obvious

Glenn Beal - Play. Only 3 TE on the roster

Colton Blanton - Redshirt. He might play in the NW State game, but he won't crack the 2-deep.

Barton Clement - Redshirt. He might play in the NW State game, but he won't crack the 2-deep.

Luke Matthews - Redshirt. He might play in the NW State game, but he won't crack the 2-deep.

Bobby Brown - Play. We're extremely thin at DE

Mohamed Diallo - Play. 2-deep.

Jeremiah Martin - Play. Extremely thin at DE

Tyree Wilson - Play. Extremely thin at DE

Max Wright - Play. Extremely thin at DE

Brian Johnson - Redshirt. He's way too small at linebacker right now

Jordan Moore - Redshirt. He might play in one of the garbage games but we're pretty deep at corner.

Leon O'Neal - Play. He'll end up in the 2-deep at safety

Seth Small - Play. He needs experience for when he takes over for LaCamera next year.

I thought I saw somewhere that he is currently 3rd behind Johnson and Okeke at Rover. If so, an injury to either of them, and he's likely seeing action.

Injury is the only way he plays

We thought that about LaCamera and Mann, yet neither redshirted.

I kind of doubt all the freshman DE all play.

There’s no way Strong redshirts in the practice reports are to be believed. It sounds like he’s the third best back, and is distinctly different from Williams/Etwi/Corbin.

Jackson likely redshirts and moves to LB next year. Prince redshirts as well and, if he gets passed up by Richardson next year, probably transfers after 2019.

Somebody on TexAgs said Johnson moved to safety, at his request.

I don’t want Etwi playing significant time.

Etwi flashes real potential every time he's given an opportunity IMHO.

Not clear as to who is 2 behind Williams at RB. I think its wide open and best bet is Corbin.

Yeah I agree. Wright is a good bet since he's coming off an injury. Wilson is still pretty small also.
