Not 100% sure- but most expect the SECCGG between Bama and UGA. I think it will be a toss up if both teams live up to billing.

It might be an exhibition game because both teams could be 12-0 and in the playoff regardless of that games outcome.

We won't get in without winning the conference unless we completely maul everyone on our schedule leading up to the game.

No way they will allow 2 teams from SEC again this year. They will take a 2 loss Big 10 winner or 2 lose Big 12 winner team over a 1 loss non-SEC Champion.

I never said that UGA would be champs because its possible they could lose players, via injuries, or even drop a game.

That said- prior to DRob eligibility, Bama was the overwhelming favorite to win the SEC and National Championship.

Bama will be a 7-10 point favorite.

Georgia has no elite defensive tackles or linebackers.

Athlon ranked the position groups and Auburn/Alabama were top 10 in Defensive line and Linebacker. Georgia was absent on both lists.

We can visit it right now. . . (Not bad, but you're not going to beat Alabama without an elite front 7)

Linebackers

#1 Alabama
#6 Auburn
#10 LSU
#11 A&M
#15 Georgia

UGA is replacing a lot of guys that played significant minutes on the defensive side of the call. Offense will have to score points early on while some young guys on D get some experience.

Our D line will have Tyler Clark, David Marshall and Jonathan Ledbetter. Led was huge in the playoffs last year. We added Jay Hayes from ND for depth and have some other guys that haven’t played much.

Our LBs and Secondary are also inexperienced but very talented. DeAndre Walker lead our team in sacks playing in a back up role last year. Natrez Patrick has played a lot of good football for us as well. We have a bunch of 4 and 5 star guys in the LB room that will be great with some additional reps. Our secondary lost 3 guys that played a ton of games at UGA. We return DeAndre Baker, JR Reed, and Tyrique McGhee. We have more 4 and 5 star guys like Rich LeCounte, Mark Webb, and Tyson Campbell that will help fill that void.

Talent is there to be a top team. Can we replace 7 guys on Defense that played significant minutes?

No Freshman linebacker, or any linebacker on your roster for that matter, is going to be able to come remotely close to the level of play of Roquan Smith.

As good as Georgia's recruiting classes have been under Kirby, he has not signed elite defensive tackles. And the one 5 star that you had at the position left for the NFL (Trenton Thompson).

The front 7 has a lot of holes in it compared to some of the other teams in the league.

Who Is Bama elite offensive player (s) or Auburns?

Bama defense was decimated at the end of the year but it didn't stop them from winning the Natty

So, not only will a 4 loss team make the SECCG from the East, but Bama won’t even be favored against them? Strange. Must be a down year in the SEC.

Georgia didn't have an elite front 7 last year. What's your point?

Athlon had UGA ranked #15 preseason. All of a sudden you want to believe their rankings just to fit your jealous narrative.

Athlon had Ohio State, LSU and Florida State ahead of UGA in terms of top 2017 roster. They are always wrong...

I would disagree with this. I think Alabama has a clear advantage. Georgia seems to be closing the gap from a talent perspective, but Alabama is still ahead.

Robertson is a wonderful weapon, no doubt, but WR was not a weakness to start with.

Our weakness will be inexperience on defense. There s plenty of talent, but a lot of it will not have experience, particularly at LB and DB. Robertson will not address those issues.
