Lost in the mists is the Auburn - Tennessee rivalry that was pushed aside as an annual thing in 1992. The teams have played each other 52 times and had matchups in the SEC championship game. AU has a 6 game winning streak against the Vols.

Perhaps at some point Auburn will move to its rightful place in the East and face Tennessee and Florida again on an annual basis

28-21-3 AU leads

Then it will not be a rivalry if Tennessee keeps on losing!

We're all missing out on some classic SEC matchups every year because some shitheads want to keep a lopsided-arse rivalry afloat

There were about thirty five consecutive years from the mid 1950's to 1991. There's some history for kids of that era, but surely you guys have more meaningful and frequent SEC matchups?

I mean, for over half of that time UT refused to travel all the way to AU, pretending that the bus ride was too difficult. Are you guys really that hung up on them, or do you just want them back because the suck at football now?

Well it was the 1940s and 50s and 280 didnt exist. It would have been one hell of a trip to get to Auburn way back then from East TN.

Well, it sort of did, but the road really sucked until the early 2000's.

Well, unlike your cute little 35 game streak against UT, which ended before you were born, btw, UA and UT have played for 90 consecutive years.

Frankly, though, until they get better at football. I'm sort of getting tired of playing them every year.

so who exactly do you think Auburn would play every year, from the West, if Auburn did move to the East?

Why does everyone know this is the right move yet it does not ever happen. Make it happen.

I don’t know how it’s still a rivalry if one team hasn’t beaten the other this millennium.

Okay. I stand corrected as long as you were born before 9/28.
