Huh...so LSU and Auburn have better D-lines than Mississippi State. Surely they'll have more representation on this list.

*scans list*

Two first teamers for MSU...none for LSU...none for AU. List must be shite.

I don't blame y'all for talking shite before the season, if history is our judge then you won't be saying much during and after.

I have read the opposite.

The biggest omission from an LSU fans perspective is Giles

I think the media may have just forgotten he existed

I mean, I guess that is cool and all, but the good teams you faced last year and the good teams you face this year, MSU's D didnt look all that good.

Statistically LAST year, LSU had one of their weakest (depth wise) D front 7's and had a better Rush D than MSU.

LSU is more healthy this year and added some very good talent.

I've heard of three of these guys. One was only because of Netflix.

Marquis Spencer (DE) - 4 star Soph

are you really listing high school recruiting rankings for some guys in their 3rd, 4th, and 5th years of college football? Do you really think those are relevant at this point?

Here they are arguing their depth because they return the entire two deep, yet also are arguing this isn't the same MSU DL we're use to, even though we must have played the exact same DL last year.

State's defense was really young last year and they did what young defenses do....play inconsistent at times. Consistency comes with experience. The confidence comes from having two first team DL returnees, plus a guy that might be better than both of them, and quality depth behind them. Nobody else in the conference can tout that.

As a State fan, I wouldn't trade ours for yours.

There's two ways I can answer this.

1. I gave you 11 names.
2. Rivers played in 4 games as a true freshman at Georgia.

Either answer works.

Yes, a few teams and "tout" that. Bama, AU, UGA and LSU all have very deep and talented front 7's.

But if you just rest on the preseason rankings, then grats I guess.

If you watch that gif, I could see where Damien Harris could have scored if Tua had dumped the pass off to him instead.

Glancing at your projected two-deep this year (same guys right?). There are:
4 RS seniors
1 true senior
1 true junior
1 RS sophomore (basically a junior)

So please, tell me again about how young they were. Over half are seniors

Hard to call the games he played in meaningful experience.

Of course those teams have talented front 7s. Who else can tout two returning first team all SEC defensive linemen? Who can tout returning the league's sack leader? Those aren't preseason rankings, they're postseason accolades from last year.

I'll hang up and listen.

Those same people ranked statistically WORSE THAN LSU last year...

Cool. They have “individual” accolades but played average as a “team”.
