That OSU team was really damn good. Had an early loss to Va Tech when Bud Foster confused JT Barrett in his second start and rolled after that

No it doesnt...not when a non conference game is against a directional or G5

Home games against the Little Sisters of the Poor aren't what people are wanting to replace the neutral site games with and you know it. You're just trying to be dense now.

For example, Tennessee fans probably don't want to take away the WVU game in Charlotte and replace them with Tennessee Tech at home. They want a home and home with WVU instead.

Unless it's a well established neutral site game like WLOCP or OU/Texas, the atmosphere for a big game on campus is infinitely better than for a neutral site game against a similar opponent.

Or to put it another way, would you have rather had our home and home with ND be a single game in Dallas? I don't think so.

Sims far exceeded any expectations anyone had for him. Coker had the benefit of playing with a much better defense and special teams who scored 10 TDs of their own and a Heisman winner at RB. Sims had Cooper.

Ok,I get all that and you obviously didn't understand or get my original point.ONCE AGAIN,the logistics and politics are making it more difficult to schedule home and home along with more conference games and the demise of independents...did you not understand this?
We dropped the Oregon and OSU home and home series because of reasons listed above. Mcgarity on cancelling
the Oregon games:

quote:

“We think we’re going a long way this week, try Eugene, Ore.,” [Greg] McGarity said. “That’s even further. It’s not a lot of fun when you see the itinerary when you get back into Athens at 6 a.m. on Sunday morning like will be the situation this Sunday.”

On the Ohio State cancellation:
quote:

Georgia athletic director Greg McGarity told reporters Thursday at the SEC spring meetings that Ohio State backed out of an agreement to play the Bulldogs in 2020 and 2021. The Big Ten/Pac-12 partnership, which ultimately will have 12 annual matchups between conference teams, is set to begin in 2017, although Ohio State athletic director Gene Smith told ESPN.com the Buckeyes likely won't begin participating until 2018.

Do you REALLY think AU and Washington would've or could've scheduled a home and home so quickly or TCU and Ohio State or Michigan vs Alabama? NONE of these games would've taken place if it weren't for neutral site options.

Sorry,it's the reality of CFB and neutral site games have been better for the sport.

Wtf are you talking about?

He destroyed the school single season passing record and somehow he’s crap?

Coker wasn’t all that good either for much of the season. It’s reason he didn’t get drafted either despite having the size and arm strength.

No but I'd sure as Hell take it over a UMASS home game.

Just a killer OOC schedule this year, isn't it?

Your dead grandma could’ve also thrown all 205 yards and 2 TDs to wide as frick open OJ Howard against Clemson. Clemson completely forgot to cover OJ in that game and Coker’s stat line benefited greatly from that.

And are you really comparing that Michigan St. team to the 2014 Ohio St. team? That OSU team managed to hold the no.3 offense in the nation with a Heisman winner at QB to 20 points. They also shut out a Melvin Gordon led Wisconsin offense in the Big 10 Championship. Several players off that team are now in the NFL. So yeah I highly doubt Coker would’ve faired any better versus that team.

Coker was a game manager for much of the season. Sims was asked to do way more.

I don’t have a problem with you saying Coker was better, but saying he was leagues is just a bunch of bullshite.

And what did Coker do? Hand it off to Henry 30-40 times a game. Or throw it to a WIDE OPEN (as in nobody within 5 yards of him) to OJ Howard. His longest pass of the game was a 60 yard screen pass to Howard.
