So...what’s your whiskey of choice?

I’ve been dicking around with different bourbons because I’ve gotten into drinking my liquor clean (ie alcoholic) and was curious what my brethren have taken a taste to. The caveat here is I like sweet whiskey....your mileage may vary.
My choices:
Got to shelf bourbon: Buffalo Trace. If you can get it - it’s excellent and inexpensive considering how good it is. Tough to find in SC though.
Back up: Makers 76. You can find it anywhere and it’s pretty good.
Good shite: Michters American Whiskey is nectar of the Gods. I’ve had Wellers and Booker et. al. but this one is great fir sipping and smooth as glass. It’s pricey though.
I was a Woodford regular but these have kicked them off the pedestal. What are you guys drinking? Give me some leads. Thx.

Not whisky but Blue Nectaur and Don Julio 70th Anniversary Tequila is my go to right now.

Drank all kinds of rot gut $7.99 a handle whisky all the way through college. I have a few friends now that are really into the bourbon craze and I’ve had a few that were good. I really like the weller 12 year and the 107.
BUT I always just go back to jim beam with Diet Coke and a lime wedge.

Been drinking bourbon neat now for about 7 years and have tried a ton. My go to is Wild Turkey since it inexpensive and good quality.
My high dollar buys are Knob Creek, Blanton, Woodford Reserve Double Oaked, and Jack Daniel Single Barrel. I also like the various Rye whiskeys when I want to mix things up.
I generally don’t like any Bourbons under ~95 proof. They don’t have enough bite on them. I like to feel the burn when they hit the tongue.

Definitely Jefferson's Reserve above all else.
I like the 4 Roses single barrel for a middle of the road drink. If I'm feeling cheap, I'll get the Jack Daniel's green label.

My regular go to whiskeys are usually:
Single Barrel Jack (not a huge Tennessee whiskey fan due to sweetness but this one is consistently really good)
4 Roses single barrel or small batch
Woodford double oaked
Plenty of others I enjoy but I try and make them last a little longer like Blantons, Jameson 18, etc
In the summer I start occasionally getting more into rum or tequila on the rocks too. Some of the extra anejos with a nice cube of ice are perfect when firing up the grill. The Espolon Anejo and Extra Anejo are particularly good.
For rum I've been enjoying the Diplomatico Reserva Exclusiva (not near as fancy or expensive as it sounds, around same price as regular Woodford but usually a little cheaper) and it's fantastic. Even get a little more vanilla flavor once the ice cube starts to melt a little.

Glenfiddich 15 year is what I stock for myself in my bar. I also keep Maker’s Mark for guests.

I’ve settled on 4 Roses Small Batch and/or Single Barrel as my go to. At one point or another I’ve had just about everything rare/plentiful/expensive/cheap/whatever in my liquor cabinet and I’m at the point where I could get by on never having anything else in there besides the 4 Roses. Perfect bourbon for my tastebuds.

The first thing I ever got drunk on was whiskey, so for decades I couldn’t even smell it without feeling ill.
Lately though, I’ve been sipping jack and cokes but only on Delta flights. I can’t drink them on the ground for some reason.

Can't do brown liquor. I don't trust anything I can't see through.
Was at a family wedding a month ago and I thought I'd give the groom's signature cocktail of an Old Fashioned a shot. Couldn't get it down.
Vodka, rum and tequila for me.

I’ve been on a rum kick lately. Mostly mixed with ginger beer or Mexican coke, but had a few good sippers too. Appleton 12 year and Bacoo 8 year (12 is good but I really like the 8) are two I really have enjoyed this summer.

Good info here.
I didn’t mention my got to Scotch is the Balevenie Double Barrel 12. Again it’s got a sweeter taste. I like the peaty stuff too but in smaller doses.
I need to try Four Roses. Also I’ll give Jeffersons a try next time.
Also some dark rum would be a good switch up as well.
Thanks all!

I’ll take the Pepsi Challenge any day of the week with Evan Williams single barrell for everyday drinking.
Blanton is my weekend go to.

Four Roses Single Barrel is my every day drink. But I also love Basil Hayden's, Woodford Reserve, Eagle Rare, and Wellers.
