NEW YORK (World News Bureau)
In a recent polling of 585 NFL players, nearly all of them were unsure of exactly what they are protesting.

Here's a sampling of responses to the question: "What are you protesting by kneeling during the National Anthem?"

"Pretty sure it's against Nazis - especially the white ones."

"We're protesting America becoming capitalistic instead of equal."

"I'm protesting against Trump saying black lives don't matter."

"We're against global warming and the police.."

"We're showing the world that we care about, ah, things such as.... such as... ah, freedom from suppression?"

"Me and my fellow players are protesting the Constitution of Independence because of what it does to people of color."

"We are displaying our right to stand up by kneeling for our beliefs."

"We are protesting Trump, because he, you know, keeping the black man down."

"Myself is kneeling to show that just because I'm American don't mean I got to act like one."

All above comments are from National Football League players, many with 4 years of an American College Education.

Average player salary $1,900,000

Hilarious, sad and pathetic...all at the same time.

I clicked on this thread (nearly didn't) expecting to see some opinionated bullshite, but this is quite hilarious. The only thing I'd like to see is a link.

Wow. This is obviously satire. Good catch Tuscaloosa. I bet if they really surveyed all the protest players, though, the answers wouldn't be much different than in the OP. IMHO.

OP needs to post this on the Poliboard just to see how quick some of them get riled up without actually looking in to it. Better post the link that Tuscaloosa provided or else it'll get downvoted in to oblivion.

I would LOVE to see this. I’d do it myself, but I’m not allowed to post over there, as those guys do not enjoy their safe space being threatened by free thinkers.

Before I even got to your posts, after reading the first few sentences I scrolled down for a link expecting some bullshite organization like the gatewaypundit, fox news, Breitbart, shawn hannity, etc.

Thanks for saving me the time of having to argue with idiot OP.

I can't tell if this is an intentionally fake news website, or a horrible attempt at satire.

It originally came from police violence against unarmed minorities. That was the original purpose. Obviously it got out of hand and the original meaning got watered down. Has nothing to do with the veterens etc.

As a veteran I couldn't care less if someone wants to protest, but I will say these players are ignorant and if I were in charge, they wouldn't be employed because of their actions. They get paid too much money the way it is and take it for granted.

Get the current arse clown out of the white house and this manufactured bullshite drama will end, guaranteed. He is the 9ne continuing to stir the pot because that is what he does. He is too stupid to implement or understand policy so he tweets bullshite to cause problems and keep people stirred up, as he knows the only way for him to be elected is by stirring up enough easily offended people and fear mongering.

I didn't want this to be political. Again I'm talking about overpaid players who create enough problems themselves that other jobs would never allow or put up with. There is no reason as a role model to go against law enforcement on national television.

Don't break the fkn law and you won't be put in that situation. Apply for a Pell Grant and get a certificate or degree. Run far away from the hard life and trouble areas.

And the people who do it to support their teamates are wrong because it displays the ignorance of not having a side or a clue of what happens.

So you don't care that they want to protest, but want to dictate how and when they can protest?

That is fine. But if you are going to call out athletes for expressing their opinion in what you view as an inappropriate manner, you damn sure need to call out the current POTUS 10x louder as he runs his mouth 10x more to stir bullshite constantly from a much larger stage and in much less appropriate and more disrespectful manner.

And if you want to call out these players for "creating enough problems themselves", you damn well better do the same on trump. A life long conman who has stolen and conned thousands out of millions and is almost certainly the most prolific liar in the history of US politics.

And I'll try and shut up now about politics, even though that is what this entire topic boils down to.
