Well they very accurately left Mizzou off. Our tailgate sucks. It could be great, but the University cracks down on it intensely, and very deliberately has made it a non-event over the course of the last decade. Anytime a tailgate spot starts to become popular, the University fun police shut it down.

Thanks for sharing CG. Some are shooting the messenger at the moment ... it's just a list.

ETA: Florida and Miss State are overrated.

Never done Florida, Bama, Auburn or & A&M.

South Carolina tailgates are fun, I surprisingly enjoyed UGA and Ole Miss speaks for itself.

Like an earlier poster, I’m sure Vandy is a lot fun just for the simple purpose of being in Nashville and got snubbed.

LSU being #1 shouldn’t be a shock to anyone.

Tailgating is all gonna be personal prefernce. I’ve been to away games at all but Kentucky, Tennessee, Texas A&M, and USC.

I grew up going to a lot of Gator games, so I thought LSU was a better more relaxed on alcohol version of that, and Auburn was similiar as well. I can understand away fans not enjoying the Grove as much as Ole Miss fans, especially if you don’t know anyone or have a couple of tents to party at. Athens was fun too, Good all around tailgating, great town and bar scene, but nothing super special or different about the tailgating itself.

Tuscaloosa is my personal favorite tailgating spot, because it was like a mix of all the tailgating I’d gone to in the SEC. The Quad area was just like the Grove, and they also had spread out tailgating all around that throughout town. I’ve been to 3 games at Alabama, and it’s always been the most fun for me.

They are all more or less the same at this point. Have been to almost every school and enjoyed them all.

From a purely objective opinion I think Auburn and LSU are my favorites.

Should be a rule to be on a list like this you have to actually fill up your stadium.

This list is written by a pretty good looking Volleyball chick that went to Wake Forest.

You know she's probably never been to most of these spots. It purely just another list based on other people's opinions & her limited view.

Arkansas is hampered by the fact that we've shoe horned our stadium into the mountains. There really isn't enough room to have a big tailgate going. Hell there isn't really enough room for everyone to park.

Little Rock has more room to spread out and have a good time... but if you walk a block away from the stadium you are in an urban war zone.

South Carolina second is pretty high. The redevelopment of the farmers market and the availability of land on the fairgrounds makes the entire area usable. It just always seemed more like a Nascar scene than a college football game, and there isn't a college around. Columbia has the worst heat index in the country (WB is only 199' above sea level and over 100 miles from the coast )and there are literally no trees, so you better bring plenty of tents and beer, and most do.

I'm sorry but Tailgating at UT absolutely does not exist.

Expansion at UGA anda lot of idiots doing stupid shite like leaving landfill filling load s of trash and burning shite up with grills and deep fryers has really taken a lot of the tailgate experience away at UGA. I’ve only been to 9 games in Athens in the last 10 years but in my opinion tha tailgating ain’t near what it was in the 80s and 90s. Still great but not as great as it once was.....

Looking forward to LSU this year......and can’t wait until we visit College Station in about 50 years.....stupid SEC LOL.....
