Whichever team who has the best QB play will win the championship. The secondaries in this league will be challenged every week for the first time in years.

Leave it to an Auburn fan to not understand football or the southeastern conference.

The best team im conference is typically the best rushing team (fortunately for Auburn, that was them in 2010 and 2013)

And I don't mean running on 1st down. The best team running when the opponent knows that you will be running.

2017 conference stats: rushing TDs

Auburn fans have been in this conference for a long time. But they are too busy worrying about big brother/cousin to actually pay attention.

I would change that to best passing game, not just the QB. Austin Allen had very legit talent at Arkansas but our O-Line was so terrible he took a ferocious beating every game. By the time we were solidly in SEC play he was so banged up he was a sitting duck.

I worry about post-concussion syndrome with the poor kid.

So, though he had great talent, he rarely got to show it.

A good QB, steady receivers, and a solid O-Line is going to be hard to beat. You can get by with just two of those three, but you are going to run into trouble sooner or later.

So the argument over the space of way too many pages is that teams win with either a great running game or a great QB?

You know, if we were to get Urban Meyer and Nick Saban to post in this thread, they'd tell everyone involved that building a winning team is way, way, way more fricking complicated than deciding whether a strong running game trumps a great QB, or vice versa. The arguments here are going to fail to convince the other side for one basic reason -- they're entirely too simplistic, so they can't actually make an irrefutable point.

threads like this are pointless until everyone gets into the meat of SEC play that said...it'll most likely be Georgia vs the Iron Bowl winner again

Running the ball and stopping the run. 9 times out of 10, that's how you win the SEC. Even when Cam and Tebow won it, that's how they did

Self promotion ( bumping your own thread) on most sports message boards is customarily viewed by fellow posters as weak deportment. Just so's you know .
