NC QB Garrett Shrader commits to Mississippi State

Kid is an absolute STUD and perfect fit for JoeMo's offense at State. He choose MSU over South Carolina, Penn State, Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Indiana, Nebraska, Ole Miss, Pittsburgh, Syracuse, Tennessee, Vanderbilt and Virginia
Shrader blossomed as a sophomore throwing for 2,594 yards and 29 touchdowns to just four interceptions with another 615 yards rushing and five scores. Over the summer he popped a big Nike Football Rating including a laser-timed 4.7 40-yard dash, perhaps an even more impressive 4.07 shuttle and a 35-8 inch vertical leap. As a junior Shrader threw for 2,302 yards passing and 24 touchdowns to six interceptions with another 791 yards rushing and 10 more scores.

Not even gonna play like we didn't want this guy. I would, however, expect our staff to keep in close contact with this guy until he signs.

What are your thoughts on KJ Jefferson? Morris seems to like him and figure you won't take another QB now.

Yea I took this a good news but Ole Miss will be tough to beat for MS kid.

That is a very impressive film. His team runs a lot of JoMo offense. Is there a connection?

JoMo had been recruiting him since he was at PSU. Longer relationship won out.

I know that. I was asking about the offense his high school runs. I was wondering if someone involved with the offense has a connection with Joe, and if that is the reason that Shrader was on JoMo's radar in the first place.

ah gotcha. I will say this, noted QB mind Dan Werner, who was the first to offer Tua, had free reign to go recruit whoever he wanted and Shrader was at the top of his list. Screw the 3* look, he'll get that 4th star before its over.

Ole Miss isn't recruiting Jefferson as a QB. He's from 20 minutes from Oxford but I doubt he signs with Ole Miss unless we miss out on every other QB target

Best in state qb in MS c/o 2019. Puts up big numbers at a small school but is legit more of a passer than a runner. He was the next guy on out QB board behind shrader

Congrats to MSU, i liked shrader but thought we needed to go with a diff qb and it looks like we will get the guy ive wanted the whole time. Ryan Hilinski number 8 pro qb out of California tomorrow. Shrader reminded me so much of our current project at qb in Dakereon Joyner, needed a polished passer, also Hilinski played in one of the toughest divisions in Cali with a 69% completion rate. Kinda glad Shrader picked yall, but either way hell of a get guys.

Hilinski is a good pick up for USC. He's one of the 4 Ole Miss has above Jefferson. Was supposed to visit this weekend but it looks like he will cancel and commit to y'all. I think/hope this means we get Grant Tisdale.
