Meh, Lubbock isn't that bad. And none of your Texas cities listed are as bad as Beaumont.

Agreed on both counts.

Lubbock shouldn't be on the list. Yes, it's pancake flat, has dust storms and weird airborne disease, and actual tumbleweeds blowing around.

It's still a big college town full of nice people are pretty women. There are canyons not far from there that give it at least a little bit of outdoor appeal.

Really, you must not have been there when the wind comes out of the southwest where the feedlots and manure stacks are located. The whole city smells like a huge cowpie. BTW, the wind blows from that direction the majority of the time.
