First time I was heartbroken was the Oklahoma elite 8. Then big 12 championship happens. Norfolk st. Sec championship. The meltdown at the fog. Mpj. Has now conditioned me to this reactionLINK

Wasn’t that 2002 team that snuck into the Elite 8 a #10 or #11 seed? That was quite the unexpected run. The best part was sending UCLA home.

Yeah that team was stacked though they were ranked like number 2 at one point.

Team was ranked high early in season. Then flatlined until the tournament. Was still fun knocking UCLA and Ohio St. out. Then almost beating Oklahoma in Elite 8. Rush, Paulding, Bryant, Gilbert, and Johnson was a very formidable lineup.

I think Clarence shot 2-16 in that game. Tough one to watch especially against OU after the huge comeback and almost win in the Big 12 championships game that year as well.

How is making the tournament after a 27-67 stretch a bad thing?

Barnett's idiocy isn't gonna stop my happiness for this team and program

I agree.

Now we get to see if MPJ is for real.

Tilmon, Porter, MPJ, Geist, and Robertson is still a decent lineup.

I'd expect Robertson to go 40 minutes, Geist 30, Rau 10.

Nikko is going to need to step up.

I don't think we are going to see the real MPJ

He wasn't nearly as far along as I thought he would be in his first game.

If we are to have any chance, we really need to run the offense through Jontay. Let MPJ play more of a spot up role and we simply can not afford any fouls trouble.

I'm just proud at this team for the toughness that they have played with this season by winning 20 games instead of losing 20. Whatever they do from this point on out is just icing on the cake.(win or lose)

I predicted them to win 17 with a healthy MPJ at best and they won 20 without him.

Eh I'd be more proud of the team if they weren't drinking and driving, assaulting women, or quitting the team because they can't take being benched.

I'm proud of who we have left, so really Robertson, Puryear, and Jontay.

This season was honestly a shite show and it is amazing we won 20.

With that said we're a one and done tournament team without Barnett.

We had some good wins and some bad losses.. We are in the big dance... Nothing close to a shite show.

A shite show is what we had the last three years.

Oh I'm not saying it's KA level shite show and really it's a testament to the job Cuonzo did. I mean what could have gone worse in a coach's first year?

Yeah, I think Gilbert was ice cold that game. Team missed a bunch of free throws too I believe. It was still a close game most of 2nd half. It would have been awesome to beat them to make Final Four that year. That was a surprisingly fun run that year.
