#Mizzou football has hired Chris Corr (formerly a recruiting assistant at Florida) to replace A.J. Ofodile as director of recruiting. Austyn Carta-Samuels will move from recruiting department to offensive analyst/quality control coach and work with quarterbacks.

As the first head rolls over the train wreck of in-state recruiting.

The train wreck wouldn't fall on Ofodile. It would be Ford and Odom. Look recruiting results arent that hard to explain. Does anyone really think BO has a dynamic personality? And Pinkel wasnt much better. Not every coach is a great recruiter. Like Odom says "he wants kids that want to be at Mizzou." He doesnt want to compete for kids. Fair enough, just get results on the field.

It was said half in jest. It'll be interesting to hear the official reason for the change - if he left of his own accord or was pushed.

Ofodile didn't leave. He is now the WR coach.

Carts-Samuels also got more of a coaching role. Both were basically promoted.
BO had 1 of the better recruiting classes for Mizzou outside of Missouri. The 1-5 start killed Missouri recruiting. If Mizzou starts well next season and gets to 8-9 wins in state recruiting will recover in 2019.

Who are our bad coaches and why?

How did we get 8-9 win talent if they can't recruit?

This shite is all so confusing!

It is wait and see approach. Barry been around in the system at MIZZOU and even though he was not coaching at MIZZOU but learned the system around to other things and that was why he was able to make contact to get same or better coaches to replace the ones being fired or left. I am hoping he will get MIZZOU even better than what Pinkel was able to do when they were hired as head coach of MIZZOU. This is why I like about Barry because he learned a lot and is not going to bolt for better schools that have better recruiting backyard. He may or may not succeed but got to give Barry his chance to prove he is the one to get MIZZOU to the next level. OC bolt and refuse to coach the bowl game did hurt MIZZOU but we should be ok and hopefully this new OC will not do the same thing as the last one.

Well this season Mizzou went 3 for 12 on instate recruits that were offered. And 1 for 6 on guys I thought could be impact players as freshmen. Recover is to go .500 or better in both categories.
