Scholarship RBs on the Roster
JR Trayveon Williams - 5'9" 200
JR Kendall Bussey - 5'9" 200
SO Jacob Kibodi - 6'2" 210
Average: 5'11" 207

Incoming Freshman
FR Jashaun Corbin - 5'11" 195
FR Charles Strong - 6'1" 220
FR Deneric Prince - 6'1" 196
FR Vernon Jackson - 6'4" 240
Average: 6'1" 213

Even if Jackson doesn't play RB, we got some big boys in this class. This, along with the push for TE #s, are the two big triggers that the offense is going to look very different.

Ausbon, Chapman and Preston is a pretty big group, all 6'2" or bigger. Chapman remind me a lot of Todd Blythe, a guy who probably lacks the elite athleticism of an NFL receiver but can be extremely effective in college because he's so much bigger and stronger than the average DB.

They just seem small because they never progressed under Sumlin.

Well that isn't true. They're smaller because they're smaller. Carson & Ford ran plenty big.

What do the numbers look like when Vernon suits up on def?

Even with his big arse the numbers aren’t really that different.

Trayveon was 185 lb as a recruit. Kibodi was 195 and Bussey 205.

That's an avg. of 195 lb, if you're comparing apples to apples

Keep in mind we’re talking about incoming freshmen va guys who have been in a college program for 2-3 years. Basing it on height alone there is a ton of room to grow.

Who is in the mold of an Alabama type running back and is probably going to be best of the bunch in 2 years.
