Dude, Mac is a good, future NFL LBer. Wtf
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yea he will be on a team but he will not be a first or second day guy. Just my opinion.

I tend to agree with this. Mac at times this year just seemed slow to make the decision to plug the hole where the running back was going to go through and instead sat back 5 yards deep waiting for the back to come to him. Thus a 5 yard run on the play. (just my 2 cents worth)

He didn't have that issue last year before he was injured, this year he was the signal caller and that slowed him down significantly. Signal Calling is a tremendous extra load on the linebacker than can really slow down their ability to process the play until they are comfortable.

Ummm, I guess Lia isn’t going to flip to LSU. Honored today as an early enrollee.

Not according to rivals.

Man i clicked on the first link. Man complete trash. You are right the mocks have him going high but if he was going that high and he knew it he would be leaving. Not only that they have Harris being taken in the first over Jacobs. If we in this thread have said that he has played bad wait until they pick him apart.

27. Oakland Raiders (from Bears)

Mack Wilson, ILB, Alabama

"Yes, in this mock, the Silver and Back go three-for-three with Crimson Tide players to address every level of their defense. With LSU's White off the board, Wilson (6-2, 236 pounds) is the next best prospect at the position. He has more of C.J. Mosley and Dont’a Hightower in him than Rolando McClain, Reggie Ragland and Reuben Foster in him, on and off the field."

Like what the hell does that even mean? This tells me this dude isnt watching our games.

Lol that's why I gave you a wide selection of mocks. You can judge however you want.

Wasn't Ika at the Opening? If so, I saw his film from there and he was very impressive. Yeah he is a big guy but he was definitely not slow. Powerful as well.

Annndd, I just scrolled back to the previous page and apparently this exact same sentiment was shared.

Look all i said is the guy looked to me like he had some bad weight. Some folks got real prickly real fast.

Exact reason why the 49ers moved Reuben to WIL. Maybe they are good when they arent making the calls but that is a big part of the NFL.

yeah seems to be a lot of stress in here !! Also I wouldn’t melt to much if we did lose out on dean because Henry to’o on film looks better to me also dean seems like SDH a little undersized but a great football player

The thing is that signal calling can come over time, his first year doing it and struggling does not equal not able to do it. Reuben actually was able to do it by the time he left here, his moving to Will had much more to do with his size as he was considered undersized to be the MLB in a 4-3 scheme.

I agree. I think he was a step slow because he was thinking too much. I hope he comes back next year and blows it out of the water.

These are the type of trolls that are the worst. They show up like this right before signing.

It seems to me, both of you are being a little extreme with your arguments about Bama's recruitment of Ika.

Bama has recruited him. He visited last Feb and for A-Day weekend. His parents also came all the way from Tonga and visited Bama with him. Iirc, that was on a 3rd visit in the summer, but his 247 timeline doesn't show that. Maybe his parents came with him in April, but it's pretty common for some visits to not get recorded on 247 recruit page timelines.

From what I've seen Bama recruited Ika enough to become his favorite, but I never saw anything definite that Bama pushed for a commitment. Given that he never committed to his favorite, I assumed he didn't have a green light to do so.

I've posted before that I don't think he'd be a take unless Bama missed on Sopsher and that Bama had concetns about his bad weight and wanted him to lose it. It appears to me Bama has not been recruiting Ika very hard this fall. So, I'm not even sure he'd be a take if Sopsher was already committed elsewhere.

Now, it's being reported that Bama staff has not been visiting him in Dec and has not yet set up an OV for him for this weekend as was expected.

Today Hank and a Utah mod switched their CBs to foggy, Angulo (mountain region mod) CBd him to LSU, and Wiltfong & Lucky CBd him to Oregon. So, it's looking like he gone.

The OSU Insider just put in a CB for Thibodeaux. Anyone know if it's for Bama?

247 is saying that Ika was told by our coaching staff that they're out of room.
