I'm surprised there are no posts about today's launch.
If you're unaware, it is carrying a Tesla Roadster. Around the sun. And it isn't coming home, so if you want one, here's your chance.
The most impressive thing to me that SpaceX has done is to land spent booster rockets vertically with no or little damage. That's just cool as hell. You can see the landing here.

They've got that technology down pat. Truly impressive. I would love to have been there for the launch and, especially, for the re-entry of the boosters. That synchronized landing was gold-medal worthy.

That was totally amazing. America leads the world in this technology and this is not a government run operation!

I was about to say seems like private business is beating a government program again. Doing it better and cheaper

The two boosters landing simultaneously was the coolest thing ever. Straight out of science fiction. Too bad they lost the central booster, but they will get that right.
