Might be a little bit of premature ebraklation. We still haven't played Florida or Kentucky or aTm yet.

Auburn has had an unbelievable season but.........their best wins are MTSU, @ Tennessee, and Arkansas.

Duke, Virginia, Arizona, Villanova, Purdue, etc are a different monster at this point. Doesn't mean Auburn couldn't hang tough, but they haven't beaten (or really played) an elite team yet.

They should be 23-2 and 11-1 in the SEC when Kentucky comes to town in February to start a tough stretch run (#13 UK, @ #53 USCe, #29 Bama, @ #36 Florida, @ #22 Arky).

And there are 67 other teams that will make the list on selection Sunday too that have a chance!

Is this the 1st thread ever started by AU24 that wasn't about Bama?

I think so.

And has Jerry Palm ever been right about anything?

Whoa. Dunno about that.

Auburn is the type of team to get upset early in the dance...

It's certainly possible AU wins it all, but at this point my money is on UVa. Living near it I just assumed it was a good team with hype - but I was wrong. They are a great team.

I remember when he said that about my Gamecocks twice back in the 90s ... we lost as a #2 seed one year and #3 seed the next.

Him saying that publicly is the kiss of frickin' death. I would run out right now and bleed a snake over a fire made from human bones while chanting the voodoo ju ju counter spell on that Palms jinx.
