LSU is deeper at this position than Bama which is why I said what I said.

Let’s debunk this shite right here. We’re going into 2018 with one proven boundary corner in Greedy Williams. Other than that we have Kristian Fulton who hasn’t played and two nickel backs in Kary Vincent and Jontre Kirklin. That’s it.

Seriously.

The guys we have are top level talent, but we don't have a lot of bodies on the corner.

Surtain would start for LSU by mid-freshman year IMO. He's that good.

Without a doubt. He would start at any program in the country by mid season, he's that good. I don't believe a kid with his talent is too worried about getting a position given to him either. He just wants an opportunity and he will let his talent and play do the rest. His heart has been with LSU for a really long time, and he will have an opportunity to start here as a freshman. It's really all you can ask for as a db. To go into a program with the coaches we have and the history we have as dbu putting damn near every db that starts for us in the NFL and balling out once they get there. He wI'll be extremely prepared for his future as a pro at LSU, and like it or not, being a db for LSU stands out to NFL coaches and scouts. We have that reputation.

Interesting but yet have not been a contender since 2012? I mean you develop talent for the NFL and get them ready but yet come game day in the fall for the college season the team still under performs and just a another middle of the road team in conference that many believe is basically 1 or 2 team top heavy and the rest sub par. You would think which such a great staff and history you would top of the conference every season.

It's no secret as to why we haven't been title contenders since 2011. Our coach was hard headed and we lacked the qb play necessary to win a champ. We always have the talent, but we had a situation where our qb and offensive philosophy hindered us from reaching our potential. Everyone knows that was our problem, and when you play teams that can slow down your run game and make you pass, we were screwed. With Brennan, we now have a qb that can change that narrative. It doesn't change the fact that we produce players that are NFL ready, more than any other program...just not at the qb position lol. I'm just stating facts man, not arguing. Surtain Jr will be a huge addition and will make sure that we once again have an elite secondary. We could very easily be in the playoffs in the 3 years he is here.

I just don't see surtain Jr doing that to coach Raymondb though after the relationship he and his family have built with him over 2 year's of recruiting. They would have at least been honest with him as to where they stand, and it seems he is very confident in landing him. He's already drawing up schemes and plays with surtain Jr in the mix.

you realize he has just as good if not a better relationship with Miami's DB coach right? Coach Rumph and his father are very good friends, and Rumph was actually his coach pre-HS and his HC first 2 years of HS before becoming Miamis CB coach and his dad took over at AH. I will say the if he does pick LSU, it probably will be due to Raymond though.

Secondly This thing yall keep saying about "drawing up schemes and plays with Surtain in the mix". I mean what does that even mean/matter? He's not a damn Offensive weapon, he's a fricking CB! you put him on a WR and let him cover them man to man. There, scheme done. That literally doesn't mean anything, but I keep hearing LSU fans saying it as if it has any actual importance - it doesn't. EVERY coach tells the players how they plan to use them. This isn't anything special for Surtain, and its not like Raymond is spending hours and hours figuring out how to best use him. I mean shite he's an elite man cover Cb, its not tough to figure out how to use him, put him on the best WR and let him lock them down.

The other thing LSU fans continuously say is he has family in Louisiana. yes thats true, but his Immediate family is in south florida. and his mom want him to go to Miami, thats just the facts.

No one Knows for sure what he will do, the best we can do is guess. And Imo Miami has more going for it than either Bama or LSU, doesn't make that a guarantee, just the most likely imo.

In your opinion and your opinion only. In what world does Miami have more going for it than Bama or LSU?

Yeah, that's bullshite. We smoked their asses the last time we played them 42-3 or some shite like that and they still haven't recovered their "swag" lol. We will beat them in Dallas this year too.

I see 4 impressive players and 4 who are ok. Bama has had Landon Collins and Clinton-Dix in the pro bowl. Kirkpatrick signed a $50M deal. K Jackson signed a $32M deal. Eddie Jackson tore it up as a rookie. Marlon Humphrey rated out well as a rookie. Minkah is likely to be a top 10 pick.

I'd say the NFL DB talent between the two teams is pretty comparable. That selling point of LSU can get you to the league like no on else as a DB is just false. You should sell Raymond, LSU as a school and family, and the LA ties. Those are your winning points. Championships, being coached by the GOAT those are Bama's winning points.

Eric reid is a stud, he's already made a pro bowl, he just has no talent around him in sf so teams go elsewhere for match up purposes. Tredavious white had a hell of a season as a rookie with buffalo too. He made the all rookery team this season. Jamal Adams is, well, Jamal adams, he will be of the best safeties in the league next season, he made all rookie team as well this season.

Eric Reid is a Pro-Bowler

Mo Claiborne is/was a starter for both the Cowboys and the
Jets and has been in the league for 6 year despite injuries. He was picked to replace one of the best corners in the league Darrelle Revis.

Delvin Breaux has been solid for the Saints, Tide Saint I believe would agree.

He's a probowl safety lol. While I don't agree with his kneeling for the anthem, he is a stud and will make another probowl soon. Tyrann matheiu straight up declined his probowl invite bc he had a birthday party to attend. Lol, lsu is known for producing top notch talent.

I agreed he was a pro bowler. i just said he's fallen off. he had 7 INTs his first 2 years in the league and has only had 3 in the 3 years since. his career high in tackles was his rookie year and he's not been within 25 tackles of that number since.

i didn't say he wasn't good. i said his production has fallen off and you can no longer put him in the category with PP or Mathieu. to argue otherwise is kinda homerish, IMO.

Right on. I agree he has fallen off, but I believe he will make another probowl if he has help around him is all I'm saying. He has serious talent.
