Todd Haley would be interesting. I don't know how he'd do recruiting but to say "Hey, I coached Terrell Owens, Fitzgerald, Terry Glenn, Antonio Brown, Keyshawn Johnson & others. I also developed Tony Romo and coached Big Ben"

That'd be a good sell.

Instead of Freeze, maybe Saban should hire James Coley (wiki). Offer him Co-OC/PGC with $s he cant refuse. He's worked for Saban and Jimbo at LSU, Dolphins and FSU. He's from Miami and is a great recruiter with ties in FL, GA and LA. He has some OC experience and is now WR coach at UGA.

Co worker just ran into Pruitt in Huntsville at a hotel downtown wearing his new colors. He told Pruitt job well done and he didnt seem like really nice guy.

ETA: Reading reports looks like he would be in town seeing Malik Langham

Todd Haley could be a good hire compared to the options currently being discussed.

Here’s my problem with Freeze that nobody has said in this way: set the compliance aside for a moment, that’s a whole other red flag with its own merit.
I don’t care about Freeze’s penchant for hookers and all the rest of his personal foibles. My biggest problem with him is the INCREDIBLE lack of judgment he showed during the whole escapade. Do you really want this guy running around representing our university? I don’t. His behavior as head coach at Ole Miss during the investigation showed either an overwhelming disregard for his superiors and the NCAA or complete ignorance, stupidity, and naivety or a whole lot of both. No thanks.
I also feel it projects a “win at all costs” atmosphere that we are so often accused of. And it will be used against us. If we’re willing to hire a guy like Freeze that could tarnish the image of the program, what would we be willing to do with your son to win? Anything goes in Tuscaloosa will be said over and over. Freeze isn’t worth that and it’s not even close. Let’s move on.

Todd Haley

If coach Saban ripped him on the sideline during a game it would get ugly.

it would turn into a literal fistfight

How so? He's never coached college, never recruited, he's a known a-hole (that position is already filled on our staff, thank you very much), and he just got power played out of his job by a QB who may only have 1 year left in him and the ownership knows that.

While I did say it in gist, I do think Haley is a great coach.

Lane Kiffin is a known a-hole that was ran out of town by a number of organizations
Hugh Freeze is a known tool that was ran out by NCAA

I mean we are talking about hiring OCs with baggage.

Do I think we would even look at Haley? Hell naw, but I'd take him over the last three OCs. If he could manage his personality better.

I did like Daboll though. I think his playcalling was handcuffed though.

Yes, he was handcuffed to a degree. But he also was very inflexible based on the reports that have come out. Kiffin could fit an offense to the players he had. Daboll didn't show that same flexibility (which being an NFL guy is understandable since almost all the offenses there are the same).

I agree with that. It would be awesome if we could have Bama's coaching staff to provide commentary on each game in digital formats.

As long as we don't hire Coach Mac, I don't care who we get

On the bright side, at least with the ol'McSharkfricker offense, we would have a good TOP.

I don't think we have to worry about that. I think he's gonna "go back to Montana" and look at the stars for a couple years.

Lock is the guy like we thought, where freeze comes in is unclear.

It’s all over Twitter about Locksley, so maybe Freeze as a QB or WR Coach?
