One of the baddest boys to ever lace them up during this Nick Saban era of dominance. Hell this guy wasn't an every down player until after SDH blew his knee out late last year. Waited his turn and played big time when it counted. Guy is probably the best edge rusher on the team while being a force in the middle of the defense. Underrated in coverage and is going to make and NFL team very happy late in the first round or early second round in a few months. Also one my favorite Auburn recruiting melts. Roll Tide to the big dog.

He should do well at the combine. An edge rusher that can also play in the middle, every team in the league wants a guy like that.

I can't remember another LB at Bama with his skill set.

CJ Mosley???

But yeah, I love Rashaan. You can tell he loved Alabama from day 1. The Auburn melt and ridiculous treatment of his folks only added fuel to the fire. I just hate they couldnt win that IB for him. I am sure he is happy with the Natty though.

Great player. But he never put his hand in the dirt and got after QB's off the edge like Rashaan Evans.

Speaking more to the overall skill set. We didnt use CJ off the edge but he would have been dynamic there if we did. CJ definitely got after some QBs though, lol. Seeing 32 running around these past couple seasons (when Pruitt moved him inside) reminded of the previous 32. Uber-athletic LBs but still physical and capable of bringing the pain.

Seeing Rashaan chase down Watson reminded me of CJ working against Manziel.

May catch heat for saying this but, at times he was a liability. Good player but lacked just that last little bit to become great. His speed made up for a lot of bad angles. But I'm not downing him. Just some other guys that have played recently that I would rank above him.

Reuben Foster is still the greatest saltiest Auburn flip ever. Love Evans though.

Evans has been of my favorite defensive players... I felt like I waited on him for years to show us what he had. Hes also one of those BAMA players that looked like he had been in the NFL for 10 years

This. I have really enjoyed seeing this guy on the field. After having a father that played at the Barn and growing up in the Barn. Being a Barn fan all your life, only to spurn them and go to your instate rival.......kid has to tote his balls around in a wheel barrow. Made the best decision for his future and possibility of playing in the NFL. Really admired him from day one.
