Guys, we really saw something special this week. After having gone through a whole season with one elite quarterback, Nick Saban did quite possibly the most courageous thing I've ever seen and substituted that 4-star quarterback with a 5-star quarterback to finish out the game. And guess what? That courage paid off BIG TIME. Congrats coach, you really stepped out there and earned #6 like a fricking boss.

Do Ags ever put Bammers dick out of their mouths. And FWIW, first time I've mentioned it and I actually like you guys.

But damn, you're always in awe of Bama.

ETA: I'm shocked he did it but the Aggie love for Bammer is just crazy, imo. Mizzou doesn't do it to anyone.

He's being sarcastic.

The dumber the fan base, the more gay they think Ags are

Never mind. I read further down (sorry for assuming and cutting my reading short given your flair). Full-throated apology to you (well maybe not full-throated if you're an Ag but you get my point ). Sincere apologies.

See my apology and I don't think Ags are gay. I joke about teh gay on occasion but like other things I don't take shots at Ags often (once in a blue moon to be honest and accurate). That said, you've had too many show love to Bama in all sincerity (not all but too many). I got it when you were new but it developed a rep.

I have great respect of Coach Saban and I agree that he took an uncommon risk in going with Tua but objectively the way our defense had shut down Bama's offense, I'm pretty sure Saban felt he had no choice but to roll the dice.

Saban is in a unique position in that he doesn't care what the media naysayers or haters might say. He'll do whatever he likes and anyone who questions him can bite his arse.

That's actually one big reason why coaching in general is so conservative. Coaches consciously or subconsciously know that taking a big gamble even if it's correct to do so is likely to bring a lot of heat on them.

They were getting their arse kicked, their starter couldn't move the offense down the field and is a marginal passer at best. The freshman showed plenty he can pass and run the offense. You are down 13-0 all the momentum going to Uga and Saban has shown he can change and do things that makes him such a dynamic coach.

He didn't make that decision at HT, he made that decision during their preparation leading to the championship. Saban should be respected for his coaching no doubt and he coached a hell of a game, but courageous at that moment is not something I would subscribe to. It wasn't a huge gamble based on Tua's abilities. Tua should be praised as well for not letting the moment overwhelm him and showed great poise.

Saban is a bad arse and I hate him. 5 in 11 and played for it 6 times in 11 with an additional 3 Major bowl appearances. 127-20... I fricking hate him, but he has pushed Auburn to become better.

I don't think he had a choice. It was a no lose situation. Jalen wasn't getting it done. There was nothing to lose by putting Tua in a for a few series to see how he would do.

Go out on your shield and all that.

I am trying to not sound disrespectful because I do believe Saban is the greatest college coach ever and hate the fact he coaches for Bama. I also think it was smart to make the change but why does he get a pass for not playing Tua until the championship game?

He is the better qb. I never thought Hurts was nothing more than a glorified rb and they did lose the Auburn game (where he could have played Tua and probably had a better chance to win) which almost cost him this opportunity to play Tua and if he didn’t play him in the championship game there is a good chance going into next year Hurts would have started again because Tua was unproven in a game.
