10. Texas A&M
The Aggies' two losses are a loss to Arizona in Arizona and a loss to Alabama in Alabama. Their resume features four top-50 KenPom wins.
13. Tennessee
The Vols' three losses are all single-digit losses to teams also in the Top 25 (and one). Their best win is an OT win over Purdue.
17. Kentucky
The Wildcats' resume features wins over Virginia Tech and Louisville. They're 2-2 against top-50 KenPom teams with losses to Kansas and UCLA.
24. Arkansas
The Razorbacks have won six straight games since getting blown out at Houston. They are the only team to beat Oklahoma

I believe the AP poll comes out tomorrow afternoon. Have to think Arkansas will climb in to the top 25, especially with Oklahoma playing so well.

Tennessee sucks
I've been very clear that I agree. I don't believe Tennessee will make the tourney. Very bad at closing games out.

Arkansas should be in the 15-20 range IMHO. One bad night against a solid Houston team holds them down a bit, but they've been pretty dang good outside of that.
Was curious about the record vs Top 50 KenPom teams for SEC teams
Texas A&M (6) : 4-2
Florida (6) : 2-4
Vanderbilt (6) : 0-6
Alabama (5) : 2-3
Tennessee (4) : 1-3
Kentucky (3) : 2-1
LSU (3) : 2-1
Georgia (1) : 1-0
South Carolina (1) : 0-1
Mississippi State (1) : 0-1
Ole Miss (1) : 0-1
Missouri (1) : 0-1
Auburn (0) : 0-0

I don't think the Minnesota and Tennessee wins will do much for you on Selection Sunday. I think it's understandable to question the two blowout losses.
The OU win is very, very good though.

Isn’t that the same team that lost to the worst team in SEC? or so I’ve been told

quote:No it's not. "Technically" it was another neutral site game since we didn't even play on Houston's floor. We played in a glorified high school gym after playing 3 games in 4 days in Oregon.
It's the only real road game we've played.

Lol so you are saying it was a close game? Give me a break. Down 15-20 the entire half. One run to cut it to 6 and UNC pushed it right back. There was one high leverage possession in the second half.

It's not even worth it with you. Vol fans have done plenty to showcase their basketball IQ the past 24 hours. One of the only times I've seen opposing fans have to convince the fans of the other team that their team actually isn't bad. Go make another NIT post while your team sits in the top 15.

The UNC game wasn't close. Yes, I watched it.

And almost every other second of it after in the 2nd half was a double digit UNC lead.
HT : UNC 37-26

14:00 : UNC 53-44
10:00 : UNC 64-50

END : UNC 87-68

The path the score took to get where it was doesn't dictate a blowout or not. The very fact that it was a two possession game with 3 minutes left is more than enough to say it's stupid to call that game a blowout.

Lol you’ve been proven wrong, take it on the chin and go be terrible elsewhere.

quote:Where? If people want to think a 6 point game in the closing minutes is a blowout that's on them. That's like saying a team that was down 10 in the 4th with 5 minutes left got "blown out" because they gave up a trash TD in the last minute to lose by 17. Simply not true. Did we get beat? Yeah UNC definitely was the better team. Blown out? No.

Lost by 19.
Down double digits for basically the entire 2nd half.
One stretch where you brought it down to 6 (only for UNC to push the lead right back to double digits) does not a close game make
