Glad Arkansas's Next Road Game is in Starkville

You gotta imagine, looking objectively, that Arkansas's next four opponents all get blown off the court. May as well not even discuss those games as they're all at home and none of those teams have a chance.
But in order for Arkansas to take the next step as a program and retake its rightful place atop college basketball, this team is going to have to start handling business away from home. That means Mississippi State will be first on the chopping block and all Hog fans should be thankful for that. That team is terrible.
Do you Mississippi State folks bring those stupid cow bells into your basketball gymnasium? That shite is so dumb.

You are hereby awarded 50 pre conference points, however they will be of 0 use as both the hogs and the fanbase will fade away by midseason just like every year in every sport.
Watching is helps judge the season, spring fade = baseball, fall fade = football, winter fade means shooty hoops is here again. Rotflmao @upig

After Houston beat you by almost 30 pts and brought you to your knees I really expected most educated Arkansas fans to disappear till at least mid January. Looks like I was right.

we aren't going anywhere

Uh. Brought us to our knees?
You're thinking Aggy.
Bad nights happen in basketball. You'll find out when Arkansas rolls in to Starkville.

Oh GFY. There’s at least 3 threads by Arkansas fans about basketball on the first page.
The rest of us are hyped about our team too. The Houston loss sucked and that can’t happen again but any fan base that crawls in a hole over a loss in the beginning of December shouldn’t even be allowed to call themselves a fan.

Don't bring logic into this thread. It doesn't fit the narrative.

Yeah I know.. got to see a bit of it. They have a pretty solid team this year. Doesn't mean I am not going to give you a hard time over it though. lol
We have Cincinnati tonight so I am anxious to see how we do in our first road game.

We are going to need it. And then our girls have Oregon tomorrow and they look as good as anyone in the Country. Two good days of basketball at least.

Yikes well good luck to both.
And btw BoarEd is rather excruciating to deal with so I can understand the initial reaction to the thread the more I think about it.

You need to do a better job of ignoring my threads, Piggi. Starting to remind me of a certain other poster who declares publicly he will never open another thread of mine. Until the next one. Where he says the same shite in that one too.

Arkansas and Vandy are the two SEC teams I haven't seen much of this year. How about a little run down on your top players. Anyone? Thanks

Arkansas has a top tier back court and the best big in the country (IMO).
Jaylen Barford and Daryl Macon are NBA level talents who both score around 20 a game (although Macon has been off his game a little lately after spraining his ankle during the PK80 tournament). Anton Beard is having a solid start to his senior campaign. All three are seniors.
CJ Jones is another guard that is coming on strong. He went 5-7 from behind the arc the other night and is a threat to score any time he touches the ball.
Dan Gafford is a freakish athlete. He is also 6-11" tall. Against Minnesota (supposedly a great front court) he went 8-8 from the field and had 6 blocked shots. He dunks on anyone and everyone. Can see over the rim when he does it too. A few games back he jumped off two feet with one foot on the free throw line and threw down a two handed tomahawk dunk in traffic. I keep saying this, but only because it is one of the more impressive athletic feats I've ever seen on a basketball court. He also has a soft touch around the rim and lightning fast post moves. He reminds me of Hakeem Olajuwon if Hakeem had a 30" vertical.
