Bro, your defense was buttcheeks. Anytime you played an offense with a pulse, you got your arse beat.
And I know what you're thinking, "but but but but but.......Tennessee", you just hired the guy responsible for the 2 worst defenses in the history of Tennessee football.
Enjoy yourself. Oh, and he can't recruit worth a shite either. Too afraid to step foot in the projects, where the GOONS reside.

He needed the players to work with at TN for success. Sadly he did not have that essential ingredient. However, he will have that seed stock at MSU. We will do just fine, but all of you nay sayers are more then welcome to continue blowing smoke up each other's butts until the coming fall.
You might want to invest in some mouthwash to keep your breath from getting funky.

And you hired your 28th choice as a HC. After we interviewed him and decided he wasn’t the right fit.

When you have the worst offense in the league it tends to affect your defense...

Shoop was good at Vandy. So I'm fine with the hire, although I would have rather kept Grantham for continuity.
There aren't many good DC's out there these days, period. Everybody is giving up tons of yards, and getting tons of points scored on them. Defensive Coordinator's are well behind the learning curve with modern offenses. It's just the way it is.

I remember Vols fans hyping the shite out of this hire a few years ago.

What’s your excuse for the abortion he put on the field in 2016 then?

I’m going to trust the leadership and decision making at MSU over Vols and Shaft... Call me crazy.

Tennessee can't talk shite to State. All you are doing is talking outside of your neck. Enjoy the bottom biotch.

Apparently Moorehead thinks Shoop is a good DC. Seems like he could easily get a good assessment of Shoop from James Franklin. Looks like Shoop has done pretty well as a DC, except at UT.
Botch and his culture, existing D staff hired by Botch, soft S&C, extensive injuries, lack of quality depth, poor player development, anemic offense, etc... A lot of significant issues at UT beyond Shoop's control.
