I'd love to live in a fantasy world where results don't matter too.

Until proven otherwise, Fisher is basically Gene Chizik.

You're in it right now.

LSU came in 3rd in the SECw. Same SECw that fired 3 coaches this year and had another leave.

Like I said... you in it.

Yep. Getting luck with amazing talent for one year doesn’t make you an amazing head coach.

Funny how #7 has already beaten #3 and #5

Fisher averages more wins per year, has a ring, and has beaten Malzahn in a NCG. Even if Gus wins the natty, he is still behind Jimbo in accomplishments. I mean we can debate how well Fisher will do aTm, but we can't deny that he is the second most accomplished coach in the conference now. It is a fact and on paper this is a home run hire.

I expect those 4 schools to stay at the level they were this year or worse for the foreseeable future at least. It will give Bama, Auburn, and LSU even more time to put a strangle hold on the West.

Winning 10 games in Florida State's situation should be a matter of just showing up. They have two other mediocre programs in their division, 3 dumpster fires, and one good one. The other division is even worse. Unless they have the misfortune of getting Virginia Tech in addition to Miami, there's another guaranteed win with the cross opponent from that division. That's 8/9 automatic wins every year when you count garbage conference opponents and 2/3 cupcakes. Then you just need to win one or two out of Florida (who has sucked for Jimbo's entire tenure), Clemson, and Miami (who has sucked for Jimbo's entire tenure until this year).

Check out this stat about Jimbo's 10+ win seasons.
Wins over teams that finished ranked:
2010: #22 South Carolina
2012: #9 Clemson, #22 Northern Illinois
2013: #7 Clemson, #22 Duke, #2 Auburn
2014: #8 Georgia Tech, #15 Clemson
2015: #25 Florida
2016: #23 Miami, #13 Florida, #10 Michigan

Only 2013 and 2016 look respectable at all. Bear in mind that in several of these seasons, they could have won 10 games without beating a single ranked team.

He's recruited well, but they are in a recruiting situation that should be virtually automatic.

When FSU was offered to join the SEC in 1992, Bowden and their AD explicitly stated that they wanted the easy schedule of the ACC.

Shouldn't you be calling your #7 "Daddy O"

Just asking.
